Massa is like Webber. The team will say they'll support whoever is leading, but they actually mean support Vettl/Alonso (circle where appropriate).

Got round to watching the post-finish stuff that I missed because I was going out. drat, Alonso's Dammit, Hulk, why did you have to gently caress it up? We could have had A: a Force India win, which would have been awesome, or B: a possible Ham/Alo/Hul podium, which would have pushed Vettel down to 8th...

Watched the race, was pretty crazy in the usual last race of the year kind of way. So close for Alonso in that race, especially if the first lap incident with Vettel and Senna was worse. I didn't feel sorry for Alonso at the end, I actually felt sorry for Hamilton. He got hosed over yet again while being in front. lol posters at the end 2002 posted:Schumacher has had every single thing go his way for the last three years, he's the luckiest person on earth, that poo poo can't last for long, it just can't.

Incidently, the main reason to hate Vettel is that despite everything that has been going in his favour this year, and despite being lucky to even still BE in the race after his first lap incident, he was still risking his race and championship with his stupid "look at me!" fast laps at the end. Even when he had it all wrapped up and was told repeatedly by his team to slow down. He was never going to catch the next man and the man behind him was Schumacher so there was no threat. That's taking ungrateful to a whole new level. If there was a god in heaven, he'd have spun off at that stage and would have learned to become a better person (read, not such a smug entitled baby) because of it.

At least Sauber were interesting to watch this year. Hulkenberg should do OK there I guess. If HRT is going kaput, I can't imagine if anyone would replace them next year seeing as everyone is going to have to start retooling for the following year. But I guess some whacko will stump up the cash just to watch it disappear at the back of the grid.

I wonder how many people bashing Vettel for this think Senna's racing spirit was awesome despite binning it at Monaco in 1988 trying to completely destroy Prost. It's a habit he needs to get under wraps though, look how much pushing beyond the need to cost Our Lewis around 2009-10, I can't remember exactly but he definitely lost quite a few podiums. To be fair to Vettel, he hasn't actually crashed or broke the car pushing for his little records though.

My point was that it was a stupid thing to do. I'm not a fan of kimi for his "dont care" attitude, and in fact you picked the wrong person to make that point with because if theres one person that knows to do only exactly what it takes to finish high, and not dumb risks, its kimi. There are faster drivers than vettel to support if out and out speed is what turns you on. I most definitely was not critisising vettet for being quick, i was critisising his recklessness and borderline autism when it comes to making pretty delta numbers come up on his steering wheel. I also beleive that 'pure racer' fits vettel less well than 'time trialist'. I like pure racers. Time trialists bore me hence why i dislike vettel despite his undeniable talent. This is just an opinion of course. NtotheTC fucked around with this message at Nov 26, 2012 around 16:30 |
