Button (672) outscored Hamilton (657) in the three years they were teammates.

But seriously, Jenson has proved that he's not some one hit wonder these part few years. This season wasn't his best but 2011 was probably his best season ever. He'll easily boss Checo next year.

Yeah Jenson is probably pretty happy Lewis left, I have a feeling Perez will be Heikki 2.0.

There was a green flag drivers right at pit exit. Number of lights don't necessarily coincide with the number of stations! There's only 16-18 FIA lights in Montreal, and 21 stations. In some places they are before or after a certain station. The real cloth flags are all correct, and the pass was very legal.![]() You had two 'single waved yellow' lights prior to the incident (If it's a double waved, it flashes twice as fast, and is actually pretty obvious) which in a blind entry type corner is pretty standard. Why there was a light after the incident i'm not sure, but the lights honestly do a few weird things at times, and race control can override them at any time for whatever reason. There is at least one station with real flags at the pit exit, and another at the entry to T4. During that same area of track (exit T3 to Entry T4) there is only the one (flashing green) light. If you press the "single waved" button on the controller for the light and you are at light station 1, the very next light station will automatically switch to green without that marshal pressing any buttons. SO you have more stations with real flags than with the lights, Vettel passed a green flag (at drivers right at pit exit) indicating the incident and track was in the previous sector, thus KERS/DRS/floors it and we're good. I do race control at a club level as well as marshal) take passing under yellows very loving seriously and they basically never miss one with all the cameras and gps and 300+ marshals trackside who ALSO take it pretty loving seriously. I had a bike go down and ended up within about 5 feet of where i was standing while I was trackside doing intervention because he hosed up a pass under yellows a few years ago. I can tell you the reason for the rule isn't at ALL for the safety of the drivers. Carbonate fucked around with this message at Nov 28, 2012 around 01:48 |

Jesus. People will not give up this whole Vettel passing under yellow flags thing. This guy made a 12 minute video saying how he's found another pass made by Vettel under yellow conditions. The first 10 minutes are him showing how the passes of the HRT & Kobayashi were legal because there wasn't any yellow flag indicator on the steering wheel nor were there any "no passing" yellow flags on the wall lights. This other pass is how he passed a Toro Rosso right before T4 and less than 50m before the green light. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFER0esusF0#t=695s

Whats most embarrassing about that video is how the Toro Rosso almost comes to a stop to let Vettel through despite looking like he had a really nice tow from the car in front.

Using the highly dubious method of paralleling Alonso's career to Schumacher's, he should be due five championships in a row starting next year, before retiring in 2018, before coming back in 2021 having bought HRT or something
