Welcome to the synchtube for racing channel thread. Since most of us are aspiring for the good ole' days of Indycar and NASCAR and we've become fascinated with synchtube and a bunch of us watching and commenting on old races and whatnot, why not give it it's own thread to not jam up the NASCAR and Indycar thread. Also to not create a hundred channels just for us goons, this will be the universal racing goon synchtube. http://www.synchtube.com/r/0Xjj Rules 1. Any racing videos is allowed going from NASCAR, to Indycar, to SCCA Truck Racing, and even F1 if Bernie hasn't caught that video yet. 2. This is for racing videos, anything outside of that needs to be requested by me or any of the mods. 3. Chat about the race is fine, but keep current races in there respective threads. 4. gently caress off with any threadshitting such as Indycars need to be (oval/road course) racing, Indycar v. F1, Indycar is (American/International) bullshit. It's annoying and keep it out of here. 5. If you want to have specific races at specific times on a specific day on this channel, just ask/tell. 7.Don't be an rear end. We're all racing fans, lets be nice to each other for maybe just this one thread. 8. Any questions, ask thread or me or the mods. Schedule 12/31 - 1/1: gently caress You ESPN: New Years Racing Marathon Every Tuesday until January or so at 7 pm pst (10 pm est): NASCAR 360 Where To Find Videos Myself (BMB5150) (All Sorts) Michael McIntyre (All Sorts) Buggy1Boy (All Sorts) wildbeemer (NASCAR) CrapwagonChampCarFan (CART, no poo poo) gadgefan48 (NASCAR) Acrokidflyer098 (NASCAR) Arie Luyendyk (Old CART) KingCuervo88 (NASCAR) MatthewSullivan83 (NASCAR) Mikey2448 (NASCAR) NAVGFan (NASCAR) OldSchoolNascar (NASCAR) RoRock24 (Indycars) SXTracing (NASCAR) TheRacingJungle (All Sorts) V8SupercarsOfficial (V8 Supercars) battalionfan888 (NASCAR) cubs604 (NASCAR) de31168 (All sorts) Indycars (Indycar) Luy90 (IRL) m140m (NASCAR) oldschoolnascardude1 (NASCAR) rowdyeverylap (NASCAR) wfrncsu012 (NASCAR) FuzzySkinner's Forum of Race Archives (http://speedvids.boards.net/index.cgi) You got an uploader you want up there, just post and I (will/may ) post it on the list.Have fun watching. So as I said there will be mods on synchtube, who wants to be them, you just need to make sure poo poo doesn't fly off the handle and take the best of judgement whether it's SASCAR goons or F1 goons.

We need to come up with a time for the 1979 Daytona 500 to be aired in its entirety. E: I'm game for being a mod when I'm around.

So to make totally sure, we'll just use the linked channel to do the random (as some have called them) "Winter Heat" goon watches & just post here whenever we're in the mood for some vintage racing?

I can mod too if I'm around, I don't think I've been too terrible at it in #nascar Just don't talk poo poo about Smoke, that's a kick right there.

So it's Tuesday and more NASCAR 360 and hopefully synchtube doesn't kill itself like it did last week. And anyone that wants to be a mod, join in tonight.

If anybody wants to see the way things were a few years ago in NASCAR, stop in for NASCAR 360. "You find yourself not wanting to be known as Jeremy Mayfield's wife." has no doubt had its context changed since 2004. Also, John Edward Burton Burton (that's actually what Jeb means) just made an appearance. CBJSprague24 fucked around with this message at Dec 12, 2012 around 03:23 |

Later this week after my final exam we need to go to synchtube and watch races of completely random racing series you never heard of and that you wouldn't think about being on tv, like an IMSA touring car series going up Pikes Peak.

I'd be game for this. I usually don't have interest in stuff like that or a 1980 race at Syracuse by myself, but with the company of some good and, in some cases (like Viking with that Syracuse race), knowledgeable Goons, it becomes more fun.

Yep, that was probably me. I was around for a little bit. I'm going to try to make as many of the videos as I can. I'll keep checking the thread for showtimes when a bigger group is trying to get together. It should be pretty fun as I don't know much about racing outside of F1. I know that Valentino Rossi is a badass in MotoGP but I haven't seen anything other than his documentary.

Kind of waiting to see some of the euro race (F1) fan goons jump in on this. Seriously, would love to see some of the different racing you guys could contribute. Curious would any indy/sascar goon be down for an Indy based night fairly soon? And if so, what races would you like to see? 2000 Michigan? 2002 Indianapolis 500? 1992 Indianapolis 500? 2003 Texas? 1995 Burke Lakefront? Would, for lack of a better term, "theme nights" be doable, or do you guys think it's more fun just throwing random series on there to watch? I'm talking old IRL/CART one night, NASCAR/ARCA another, dirt tracks/USAC/WoO another, NASCAR 360 followed by bonus randomness on Tuesdays like we've been doing?

There should be as much racing from as many different series on that channel as is allowable by law. e- haha BMB I didn't scroll down on the channel and I added the same Pikes Peak you did, that's hilarious VikingSkull fucked around with this message at Dec 13, 2012 around 23:12 |

We could do theme nights. Certain races Certain tracks Defunct tracks/series Deceased drivers Crazy finishes First-time winners Popular winners The Jeremy Mayfield Tribute night, where we watch all 5 of his cup wins back to back, etc.

I have it set up, it should be an interesting race, I mean you got Will Power, SeaBass, Graham, Servia, 'Tags all racing in it. Plus turbos with Ford-Cosworth engines are quite good. If it turns out 'Dinger returns to the series (god willing), we could also have a night watching his race wins within CCWS. open to hear suggestions for alternatives. Kind of want to watch it because I was mainly an IRL fan at the time, and never really paid attention to that series.

I got a couple of candidates for SASCAR vids while going through and adding the 2000 youtube clips on speedvids. 2000 New Hampshire, where the uploader describes in the following: quote:Lets review some interesting facts surrounding this race.. It's September 17th and its 40 degrees out. It's the last New Hampshire race on TNN. It's the first and only time using restrictor plates at New Hampshire. It's only the 6th time in history one driver has led all the laps, and only the second time in history on a superspeedway. It's the first return since the stuck throttles that killed Adam Petty and Kenny Irwin in identical crashes. It's two weeks since Bobby Labonte suffered a stuck throttle at Darlington. The cars have a high pitched whine normally heard at Daytona and Talladega. There are talks of completing the race with one pit stop. There is virtually no left side tire wear. Finally, on lap 59, Bobby Hamilton runs a woman over in the garage area. This is one of the more unique races in history. Enjoy! And then the 2000 Martinsville race which apparently is the Satelite Feed, with BP, Ned and Jenks candidly discussing things FuzzySkinner fucked around with this message at Dec 17, 2012 around 08:02 |
