What if there's a reason why the AI is GladOS? What if Aperture Labs helped develop the Jaegers? Combustible lemons, man. Combustible lemons.

I want to make sweet love to this movie. I want to take the film it is printed on and sex the hell out of it, down by a crackling fire in a lavish hotel suite.

I just hope there's a scene where a monster gets rocket punched and it's skull explodes.

Red Dawn was the first ever PG-13 film, and indeed, Temple of Doom, Gremlins and Clash of the Titans were amongst the reasons why the rating was created.

Loved it. Ended up getting two posters (the guy in front of me, a goon, by chance, said he didn't want his). I have come to the conclusion that at some point in the immediate future, I will require an expensive studio-approved, hand painted scaled model of Gipsy Danger and one of the kaiju. Also, Charlie Day was great. All that was missing was a rat-bashing stick and some boiled denim.

The reason that the Jaegers start falling by the wayside is due to the fact that a poo poo ton more kaiju start showing up, more powerful and larger than ever before. The reason that mechs like Cherno and Crimson have been around so long is because up until the events of this movie, they've been fighting category 1, 2 and 3 kaiju the whole war, and usually one at a time. Despite how powerful they are, they're no match for the massive influx of new kaiju that spit acid and shoot EMP bursts and are loving absurdly more gigantic, and have learned how to tag-team Jaegers all of a sudden (as a result of Charlie Day unintentionally giving them intel on how to kill Jaegers.) Astro Nut posted:They needed him out of the way before he might get more info via drifting. A kaiju found him in the bunker, and scoped him out, then left without killing him. If the kaiju bigwigs wanted him dead, that scene didn't make any sense.

Bongo Bill posted:A lot of things in this movie are ambiguous. The reason the kaiju are attacking, for instance, is just speculation on the part of the characters. No it's not. Newt figures out their motivations by drifting with their hive mind. The kaiju, according to the knowledge he obtained during the drift, are biological weapons used by an alien race to wipe out the population of a planet before the bigwigs show up and take it over.
