Video Game Championship Wrestling Twitch Channel, Follow him for email notifications when he goes live! Baz McMahon's Twitter, follow him for updates and stuff Steam Group, join chat for group chattin' Stats, logistics, rosters, match times, tiers, etc. all in one convenient Google Doc! The VGCW Wiki, now live! Youtube user Clem has kindly begun uploading past matches with chat attached! Zylche has also put up recordings of the more recent matches Clem hasn't been around to record! ![]() TONIGHT MAY NOT BE THE NIGHT, BUT TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwv0PDXarz0&hd=1 ![]() Video Game Championship Wrestling is a Twitch channel run by a guy named Bazza. When he first ran it, he "was happy he got 50 viewers, maybe he could get 50 the next time too", and it exploded, with an average of 2000-3000 viewers in recent matches, and the Twitch admins themselves consider it one of their favorite channels. He sets up bot fights in WWE 2013, and uses custom created characters of video game characters/personalities(mostly), plays specific music for characters and during fights, it's very well done. He's also kept a fairly steady "storyline" going, with certain characters having rivalries, others being Heels(Ezio, Kratos, Little Mac) and others being Faces(Arino from GCCX, Gabe Newell, Mr. Satan). Subscribe to his channel so you know when he goes live. He often runs Royal Rumbles, which are 40-man ring out clusterfucks where almost every character in the roster makes an appearance. It's far more addicting than you'd think, and you really need to watch it live with the chat visible to get the full effect. Not nearly as entertaining otherwise. An example of a great fight in VGCW, Dr. Wily and Dr. Robotnik in the tag team title holders "The Practice", facing off against would-be champions "Gerudo Skies", Ganondorf and Zangief. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hSzut032Pg&hd=1#t=2070s Previous showing summaries, haven't done summaries for them all THE UNTHINKABLE HAPPENED! (he lost in a rematch the very next show, of course) ![]() ![]() 1/28/13: Phoenix Wright bros out with Solid Snake backstage after putting McMahon away, but is more focused on finding out who Mr. L is. Shortly after, Mr. L sneak attacks Captain Falcon and smashes his face in a car hood in the parking lot! Waluigi is taken out by Protoman while the video stream was glitching out, coincidence?! I think not! Locke and Sabin take on Dan and Mr. Satan for the Tag Team Title, Locke stays in for far too long and pulls a questionable move when going to tag out, by pushing Sabin off the ring instead of tagging out, but Sabin enters the ring shortly after and pins Mr. Satan after some great suplexing. Mr. L ambushes them as well and smashes Locke's face into the ground, knocking him out too! Mr. L is on a RAMPAGE! Dante and Arino enter the ring, Arino must not bleed or he loses the match! He smashes Dante's face into the ring and WINS THE CHALLENGE!....and is completely loving destroyed by Mr. L backstage in literally 5 seconds. Like not even joking. Phoenix contemplates backstage and thinks that Mr. L is being mind controlled by somebody, and has gone haywire. Literally MIND GAMES. Gary Oak snidely saunters to center stage to...FACE A NEW CHALLENGER?! TINGLE ENTERS THE RING!!! Tingle beats the absolute poo poo out of Gary! Speculation says he is the son of Wreck-It Ralph, as he clips just as awfully as he did, here to avenge his father's clearly biased firing! Tingle just completely ruins Gary, pins him, then almost attacks the ref while reveling in his victory! M. Bison challenges Jey Uso, honorary Video Game Character, to a VGCW vs WWE match, and beats him soundly, sending him to the floor with multiple PSYCHO STAIRS attacks. Duke Nukem charges at Guile to take the Casual Belt from him, and after a vicious back-and-forth, Guile gets his second wind from some appropriate musical cues and pins Duke! Never bet on Duke. AVGN, Jensen, Barret, Vegeta, Wario, and DK enter a Hell in a Cell match, only for Jensen to pin the Nerd and win it. Ganondorf heads to the ring to challenge Raphael for the Championship Title, only to be attacked and taken out by Mr. L before he reaches the ring, followed by Mr. L taking down Raphael in the ring! Before he can land the finishing blow, Zangief, Ganondorf, and Ezio charge into the ring and take Mr. L down! The four wrestlers kick the absolute hell out of Mr. L, knocking him unconscious. Ganondorf tries to challenge Raph to the title match right afterward, but Raph turns him down, claiming he is "not at 100%" and to "wait until the next episode". What a heel! 1/16/13: in a 6-man Elimination Match, Guile ends up against Liquid Snake and defeats him for a shot at the Casuals Title! Team Light(Megaman and Protoman) vs Game Grumps(Jontron and Egoraptor) for a Tag_Team Contenders match, where Jontron gets eliminated early on and Egoraptor puts on perhaps his most impressive performance before finally being taken down by the combined might of Mega/Proto. Backstage, Nappa declares Phoenix is a little bitch for tapping out to Mr. L last time, and says he could have taken him. So he says he will! A Royal Rumble begins with DK and Vegeta, with Vegeta MAGNIFICENTLY losing so fast that the third entrant to the ring hadn't even walked out yet, leaving DK with nothing to do but walk around aimlessly in the ring! Ash Ketchum entered at #30 and eliminated four people, surviving multiple tag teams to make it to the final 2, only losing to the worthless 40th entrant, Dan Hibiki. He put up a hell of a fight and everyone, even Bazza himself, was rooting for him at the end! Afterward, six beefcake men entered the ring, Sabin suplexed 15 times, DK flipped Zangief off, and Haggar pinned Sabin right after Sabin pinned someone else. Vegeta, for the first time in THE HISTORY OF VGCW, knocks out Charles Barkley in a 1-on-1 match for his very first win in over 3 months! Good work, Prince of All Jobbers! Phoenix cornered Bazza McMahon in his office, accusing him of having Mr. L silence Luigi, who Bazza let slip that he witnessed the car hit Little Mac! Bazza, being the Straight Man of the show, told Phoenix he was retarded and to get out of his office. Nappa challenged Mr. L and, after a hard fight where it seemed like Nappa was going to throw the match, finally pinned the mysterious monster outside the ring. Dr. Robotnik challenged Raphael for the Title, but once again Raphael held onto the belt after knocking out Robotnik outside the ring. 1/13/2013: In a six-way between Lara Croft, Chun-Li, Carmen Sandiego, Tifa Lockheart, Poison, and Grunty, Lara Croft completely destroyed four of the competitors before having the win stolen right from under her by Carmen Sandiego! How appropriate! In a much-anticipated grudge match between The Boss and Cammy, The Boss pulls out some absolutely brutal beatings on Cammy early on before losing her breath, and Cammy takes advantage of that to dish out some truly life-threatening moves, before they finally get stuck in a back and forth pin tangle, with Boss finally emerging the victor! Carmen, after stealing the six-way, then went on to steal the Belt from Sheik in a fairly average fight. Not bad! Men's division begins with a 16-man tournament, where Gabe Newell murders a 10-years-old boy, Barrett from FF7 jobs it real hard against the Pyro in his own debut match, Gannon beats Protoman by stealing all his E-Tanks and then beats Gaben by stealing HIS ATTACK, THE GABEHUG, and hoists him by his own petard with it, and then is eliminated by Robotnik in a brutal one-sided beatdown. Robotnik goes on to beat Snake for the overall throne, and a chance at the title! Following that, the Jobber of Time faces off against the Prince of Jobbers, and the Prince of Jobbers wins(loses), the whole match set to the most incredibly inspiring music! Then a challenge match for Arino, where not only does he face a new challenger, Sabin Figaro from Final Fantasy 6, but he also must not be suplexed at all! Naturally, with a person like Sabin, that is impossible and he gets suplexed 14 times before being pinned. But still, he survived FOURTEEN SUPLEXES and put up a helluva fight! Phoenix Wright came forward more prepared than last time to confront Baz McMahon about the attempted murder of Little Mac, and corners Baz, getting him to spill some info, and also getting himself stuck into a Hell In A Cell match against Mr. L! Waluigi, Casuals title holder, faces off against Ezio, and Waluigi retains his title! Captain Falcon dukes it out with Shawn Michaels in a WWE vs VGCW match, with the match going on for far too long, and Captain Falcon dishing out an incredible beating, before finally pinning his opponent. Boy did the announcer sound relieved for it to be over. Phoenix enters the Hell Cell against The Mysterious Mr. L, whereupon they spend a good portion of the match glitching out, whiffing attacks, throwing each other off the cage, and generally wasting time before Phoenix finally got put into a submission hold in the ring and tapped out. The "Miracle" Never Happen. Dark days are ahead. New Year's Day showing: Phoenix Wright steps forward to investigate Little Mac's attempted murder, but is knocked out by an unknown assailant after accusing Baz McMahon of having a hand in it! Waluigi takes the Casual Title Belt in a Championship Scramble, after a fierce back-and-forth with Ash! Ganondorf completely annihilates Duke Nukem in a one-on-one match with Duke actually attempting to flee the building at one point only to be mercilessly dragged back in for more beating by Ganondorf. Gabe Newell triumphantly defeats eight Robot Wrestlers in an unscheduled Royal Rumble before being finally thrown out of the ring by Dr. Wily himself(with Dr. Robotnik ultimately winning the Rumble), and then fails to stop Nappa from snatching the suitcase in a Money In The Bank match at the last second, Nappa's victory salvaging his earlier jobbing in a tag-team match with Vegeta against Mr. Satan and Dan. The Angry Video Game Nerd takes newcomer Locke Cole and spends a few minutes beating the poo poo out of him with almost no retaliation, Locke, "world renowned 'Treasure Hunter'", fails to Mug AVGN for his Power Glove, one of the most powerful Relics in the game. A NEW CHALLENGER shows up to fight CM Punk in a VGCW vs WWE match, Mike Haggar! In a thunderous knock-down drag-out fight, Haggar finally counter-pins Punk for the finish, a great entrance by everybody's favorite Mayor of Earth! And the Title Match Finale between TMNT's Raphael and Solid Snake ends in a bloody, sad end for Snake, with Raphael taking the Title, and Ganondorf's Curse continuing to ensure that no other Titleholder will retain the Belt for more than a single match. As the cameras dim, Nappa finds himself backstage and eavesdrops upon a conversation between Baz McMahon and...The Mysterious Mr. L?! The plot thickens!! Christmas special: Baz McMahon, fed up with the good cheer and wishing-well of the wrestlers, finally decides to CANCEL CHRISTMAS. He challenges anyone to stop him in the ring firsthand. Nobody takes him up on it, when SUDDENLY, Santa Claus appears to save Christmas! Unfortunately Baz McMahon crushes the clearly-inebriated Claus in seconds, offering one final chance for someone to stop his crusade to conquer Christmas! Santa, broken and defeated, summons backup to stop the grinch-like great once and for all; Jesus H. Christ! Last time, on VGCW: LITTLE MAC RUN DOWN BY AN UNKNOWN DRIVER BACKSTAGE AFTER REFUSING HIS CORPORATE LORD BAZZA MCMAHON'S ORDERS TO MERCILESSLY BEAT THE DEFEATED, UNCONSCIOUS ZANGIEF WITH A CHAIR! OH THE HUMANITY! TWO ERSTWHILE FOES FINALLY MAKE AMENDS ONLY FOR TRAGEDY TO STRIKE MOMENTS LATER! Captain Falcon FALCON KICKING Protoman off the top of a cage ![]() Nappa suplexes Gabe Newell, for the first time in VGCW history causing the entire ring to collapse! ![]() Sabin whiffs as he tries to jump onto Vegeta. I'm so glad someone made a thread on this. When I saw it linked in a few other threads I wanted some more info on it, like what times it normally runs at, who's running it, why, what characters are in the roster.

Absolutely subscribe to Bazza if you want to continue watching this, as it will email you as soon as he starts the stream and he tends to do stuff on a haphazard schedule since he's got a life and a wife. It also lets you join him for stuff like Mario Romhacks and Skyward Sword, which are oddly therapeutic to watch him play.

This stream is so stupidly enjoyable. Been watching for the past 3-4 times he's done it. The chat really makes it. Is there any way to make the video bigger without going full screen and losing the chat? Also, copying my post from the fighting games thread: There really should be more titles in contention, less title matches, or some kind of champion buff. It seems like every title match is a coin toss and the belt changes hands too often. The champion should be pretty scary and hold the title a bit longer. It seems to kind of lose its meaning this way.

Or just get dual monitors and never watch TV again.
