The derivative of stats vs exp would also be super useful to visualize if/when your gains start to fall off (for the more linear monsters). I don't know what you're asking for but local hero Unknown_PC posted some math and that seems like the answer to your question. http://www.puzzleanddragonsforum.co...=11779#pid11779 Speaking of stat gains, someone mentioned this a while back but it seemed to fall on deaf ears for whatever reason. When 5.0 does hit, please don't be an idiot and evolve your Valkyrie if you don't have 20 extra evolved pengdras lying around doing nothing in your box. Please. She's not that pretty.

opaopa13 posted:Riders are _almost_ cool. They've got nice attack stats (easily among the highest in the game for dual-element monsters) and a cool, albeit somewhat awkward skill. Gryps Rider's skill isn't ideal on a monoblack team, because it turns your Heart orbs into nothing. At the same time, it's hard to make a Dark/Light team that pairs will with Leader Skills and other orb-changers. You really would like another Gryps Rider or Mystic Dark Knight on your team to convert the Light orbs into Dark as well, or a Vampire to pre-emptively transform Heart to Dark. At least both MDKs and Vampires are eventually farmable. I ran Dino rider for my first 20 days or so at this game (day 33 now). He was fine up through tier 1 technical. I actually had a lot of fun leveling up my first r/g/b demons (although I didn't know to skill them up!). Those demons hit over a thousand and take a mere 250,000 exp to get there. A rider friend and you have a team that smashes faces real good. At least until it started getting one-shotted too often.

With Gryps, you have to wait for T2 Technical just to have a team that takes advantage of both his Leader Skill and his Active Skill. No, actually, I guess all you need is a team that can run the Adept version of the Dark Legendary Dragon Dungeons (the ones which drop devils, anyway), or a bit of luck with the PAL machine. That's more reasonable. Still, not exactly a stellar first roll. My first was a Grass Golem, followed by Echidna: the Red Empress, so I'm not trying to preach a "you MUST reroll until you get the BEST start" philosophy, but I thought it worth pointing out that Gryps is hard to really take advantage of. korora posted:Do you (or anyone) have a way to get the raw stat data that puzzledragonx.com has? Unknown_PC to the rescue: http://www.loglesslove.net/pad_graph/ "Empirical Value" (when Google translated) puts experience on the X-axis. After that, I just eyeballed it. The Gods don't have a line quite as straight as I remembered, but pretty close. after an initial ramping-up. ...I just noticed "Arousal plan" as one of the choices on that list. I'm not sure if I want to know which monster that is.

I have a Ra + Beast Rider on my JP account and man, I would eschew all the MDKs in the world for a full stable of Riders. Ra's ability requires attacking with all colors so a Rider heart/color swap is a delicious way to fill in for tough combos. (Granted, this is a pretty niche situation but I just have a soft spot for Riders since I started my EN account with one...)

I need that drat update so I can expand my friend list to 150. It is already 90% goons, and it sounds like there are new people I need to add. I want the gooniest friend list possible. Emerald dragon hunting just ended for me, anyway, so I can stop caring about dragons the rest of the day. I had really good luck with king dropping. A couple runs dropped multiple kings. ![]() Mostly just shoring up my green team still. I kind of wish I had a Ceres or a Susano. Ceres's skill is 'eh', but her stats are pretty sweet. What would be even better is if Susano's skill were as good as Viper Orochi's. Of course, then Lakshimi's skill isn't as good as Parvati's. Just can't win on all fronts. Filthy Monkey posted:Yeah, he used susano to be able to tank a Hades hit. Quality damage mitigation is one thing that green lacks over blue or red. Blue has viper orochi, and red has echidna. Green has Susano, which is only 50%. Even then, I am sadly Susanoless. Green also lacks a good defense bypasser. Not vital but nice. Also why don't you go for a green golem instead then? Large HP pool and you'd be able to skill up pretty easily.

Golem wouldn't be bad, actually. I hadn't thought about it. I have one in my box too, which is obviously a plus. And yeah, green doesn't have a way to bypassing defense. Of course, in that parvati vs hera video he was able to kill neptune with orb matches, though it took pretty serious chains to break the defense. Big thing green has going for it is that Parvati easily has the most generically useful skill of the Indian gods. Shiva's defense break is extremely useful, but situational. It is also the sort of thing you would probably much rather have on one guy and not two. Lakshimi's thing is, well I actually haven't used it, but it doesn't sound great. Parvati's changing water orbs to heal orbs though? There is never a time when that is bad. The recent dragon knight dungeon also make a nice swing in Parvati's favor, what with maxable ADKs. Today, I'm stuck between trying to level monsters (Dark Mech, VampLord, ADK, Lilith), evolve monsters (MSK, MDK, Green Odin), and Rank Up for team cost purposes - fitting two mechdragons on a single team is difficult! I miss the days of chaining completed dungeons into Rank Ups. I know the later regular dungeons have decent XP:Stamina ratios but they can be a real slog. E: Speaking of green teams, how are Freyja's stats? Seems like the additional 1.5x damage would help with the lack of defense breakers. Is there a consensus on which final evolution of Neptune is more useful?

I use him on literally every team that needs a Wood element, because he's really quite good. Network42 posted:Is there a consensus on which final evolution of Neptune is more useful? Water/Dark. failedninja posted:I don't know what you're asking for but local hero Unknown_PC posted some math and that seems like the answer to your question. This is exactly what I wanted, thanks. Crunching through the math on this (bored grad student), the equation for skill as a function of experience is S = S1 + ∆S(.98/(∆L A0.4))k E0.4k, k = 0.7, 1, or 1.5 where S1 is the skill at level 1, ∆S is the max skill minus S1, ∆L = max level - 1, and A=10,15,20,30,40 depending on which experience curve. Taking a derivative, S' = 0.4 k ∆S (.98/(∆L A0.4))kE0.4k-1 If you've forgotten your calculus, S' is basically the stat gain when you have E experience and add one more point. For a monster on the 4-million exp curve with max level 99, if k = 0.7 ("early peak"): S' = 0.0099202 ∆S E-0.72 if k = 1.0 ("normal"): S' = 0.0022865 ∆S E-0.6 if k = 1.5 ("late bloomer"): S' = 0.000164 ∆S E-0.4 So stat gain with respect to experience is always worse than linear (linear would be E0), and for similar total skill changes you're better off putting experience into the "late bloomers" after about 700k experience. korora fucked around with this message at Mar 8, 2013 around 20:51 |
