Original_Z posted:Yeah, saying that the "vast majority" of planes have chargers is pretty questionable. I fly international flights on a regular basis and I think I've only been on like two planes with chargers, and they were USB-based and I think it was only one charger per seat group or something, so you'd better hope that you were sitting in the right position. Maybe they're more common on US-domestic flights or something? Probably way behind, but often the chargers are REALLY WELL HIDDEN - last time I was on an 11-hour flight, eight hours in I found a USB charge hidden behind a panel behind the remote control slot.

Holy poo poo Little Inferno. This game is going to haunt my dreams. Burning down the internet felt so right.

The Quest has been great for this internetless holiday, thanks for talking about it. Also Ghost Trick - but is there any way to skip dialogue faster than tapping through it? The bit with night vision goggles is driving me nuts just because each restart involves some snark.

Ming the Merciless posted:I got along just fine with them in my last playthrough, but they will not form an alliance with you no matter what. Just be nice to them! They asked for my support to join my tribe in my last game, I was kind of hoping we could swing it but I'm pretty sure just floating the idea to the rest of the tribe was what made it the whole thing fall apart - is it possible to get the ducks in as full bros?

FLX posted:Has anyone played Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator on iOS (or PC)? Is it any good? It reads like a more serious Spaceteam. Artemis itself is great, the ipad client has been incredibly unreliable for us though - life is great for all the PC and android clients, and for ipad servers, but we've had a horrorshow of a time with ipad2 clients.

How does power work in scurvy scallywags? Does it just affect how many swords you lose when you fight an enemy?

Duro posted:I'm having a lot of fun with Scurvy Scallywags, but as someone that doesn't usually play match-3 games, I'm getting my rear end kicked.... Now that I've played this a bunch more, the main strategy comes in how you run away long enough to build up swords - because you control over which direction the replacement blocks come in from. So every time you swap blocks, you can slide in either direction, which means that you can push away enemies and keep yourself at arms length long enough for your escapes to recharge. It took me ages to stop just automatically taking 4-matches, in general moving enemies away from you or bunching them up is better than taking more blocks. Taking 4 or 5 rocks is pointless unless it splits things up for you. In general, take matches outside yourself and the enemies, and swipe towards the centre.

aherdofpenguins posted:Been playing Pixel People. Is there any way to control what animals you get from the casino or by collecting hearts? I've needed a cow, along with about 6 other animals, for literally months and I've never stumbled upon one. I've been collecting from the animal shelter and casino every goddamn day and I just want my goddamn cow already When you collect hearts, you can get gold hearts if the heart is next to a pair of people who splice into a valid combination. If you have lots of gold hearts in your bar you're more likely to get animals you don't have. So, you can use the hotel to organise your people to increase the chances of the one you need. Luckily I got all the stuff I needed by cycling through missions until the one rewarding 120 million appeared, and then spending that on animals directly, until I got that drat bear.

Slice was a nice followup to spaceteam at a party last night, but gently caress level 15 unless there's some trick to it I'm missing.

I was really enjoying The Room until I ran across the puzzle with the orbs. Unfair and immersion-breaking! It makes no sense to be able to move them around with my ipad's accelerometer and not by touching them directly.

Pocket Trains is kind of annoying in that only yard stuff is shared between two trains at the same place. That is, I keep on having two trains at the same place location. One train will see a nice shipment that would suit the other train - but when I switch over I can't see it any more.

I really like iOS games that take advantage of the touchscreen as opposed to ports and stuff that I could play on other devices. I like Slice, Crabitron, air hockey, Autumn, ridiculous fishing, etc - what else is there like that?

Slanderer posted:The first part of sorcery! was great, so I finally started part 2 up today, and I ran into something weird...Not too far inside the City, just after the first crossroads, I took the center road and found the corpse lying in the road. After it tried to attack me, I cast a spell and found that their new fancy spell system highlighted SAK as a potential spell, just unknown. This caused a (magical??) chain to fly out of a chain shop (??) and help me. However, this spell definitely isn't in the spellbook. And afterwords, I was supposed to take the chain with me, but it's not in my inventory... I haven't played the ios version, but I think in the book there is a guy you can meet who tells you about his friend Sak who will help in various places. Or maybe that was Vik... I will check against the book tomorrow.

With Boom Beach, am I supposed to be clicking on stuff to collect resources or does it accumulate by itself? Is loading the game regularly just a minor advantage or am I required to do it?

I was enjoying The Spatials ... but it doesn't autosave. Was in bed, played until my device died, got up to plug it in, and I was back to zero. This is really surprising for an iOS game!

In Spatials the drop rate of stuff once you start fighting pirates seems ridiculous - I keep losing dudes because i'm off in the base screen frantically recycling stuff.

Campbell posted:The main frustration I had was having a crew w/ non-aoe weapons. You had to be super quick on the draw to hit the button and then move over and drag to the target. Now that my engineer had Missile and Fusion Missile I don't notice it as much anymore because I AOE everything from a mile away and kind of feel like I broke the game Yeah this game is triggering my RSI something wicked when using the pistol - drag from bottom left of screen to near the middle, over and over and over.

Plundernauts crashes a bunch in combat for me on an ipad2, and when you crash in combat you lose your move, so it's pretty frustrating.

So uh, with Godus was I not supposed to pick up farming straight away? As soon as you pick it up your rate of expansion goes from fun to nothing, I feel like if I'd known that I would have built another few hundred buildings first.

Yeah the Godus pacing is all kinds of weird - I now have infinite stickers compared to my progress rate because chests pop up all over the world. Really tempted to restart and skip planting fields until I've levelled out a whole lot of the map. There doesn't seem to be a hard limit on expansion at that point.
