![]() So, these "weird trick" ads. I don't fully understand all the workings of web ads. These are so outlandish, no one could believe them right? I mean, they might as well say, "Learn how to shoot lasers from your eyes with this 1 weird tip." I assume the goal is to make people click it just out of sheer curiosity? Then it probably goes to some junk search engine? Are they ad companies that exist solely to have people click on their ads for nonexistent products? I never click them, so I don't really know what's beyond.

Sometimes the goal is to get people to click out of curiosity (and take whatever tiny amount of money you get for a referral, which might be well worth it if a little money goes a long way in your country). Sometimes, probably more often, it's some sort of scam and the ad is the first filter - people dumb enough to click on the ad are more likely to fall for your lovely scam than people who aren't that dumb, so you waste less time and effort on people who are better at detecting bullshit, and sucker in the people who really really believe that they now have a virus and entering their credit card number on this handy page will let them immediately buy the right program to remove it.

Adbar is not totally cooperating for terrible and inappropriate, but we still get a recursive thread and that always makes me happy.

Don't understand this one, second time I've seen it come up in PYF too, first time was in the 'Awkward and Ugly' thread. edit Funny that PYF would ridicule such a person (presumably because they are appearing on a Christian dating site) but at the same time look at a 600 pound neckbeard fedora wearing piece of human garbage and say "well if they didn't have the neckbeard they would be kind of good looking ha ha ha Leercore fucked around with this message at Jan 8, 2013 around 18:15 |

How does it work? Do I get a atatto right away, or does it just tell me where to get a atatto? How much does it cost? Do I have to get the same atatto as in the picture? So many questions.
