RUUUUUNNNNNNNN

So, this time last year I was obese, unhappy, and possibly depressed.
I weighed 87.5kg, I literally could not run 100m, and I was bitter and cynical.
I looked like this.

I decided that I wanted to go on holidays in Europe at some point in the next year or two, and didn't want to be a fat and unfit tourist.

So I started running, got some dumbbells and started tracking what I ate. I had some bumps along the way, and some annoying medical crap but ended up losing 20kgs. I'm probably still cynical, but not as bitter.

I now look like this.

So that's the quick version of my first log.

After I reached my 20kg goal, I bought some new, fancier, more accurate scales. They put me at 74kg. Which means that I'm still overweight. But I can fit into size 12 skinny jeans, so whatever.

Whee new log smell! All empty of e/n and uncluttered yay.

Sweet baby jesus, trying to get my lard rear end into those jeans was extremely, tortuously, difficult. I deliberately picked skinny jeans because they are so very unforgiving. Those ones are apparently 'spray on' style. Whatever that means.

Here is a more recent picture of me, for no particular reason.

Forgot to add this in the OP, I'll be eating 1200-1300 calories, aiming for 100g protein and less than 100g carbs. If I find my lifts are stalling on that I'll bump it up to 1500, but I think I should be fine.

So the pt session didn't happen because there were no pts working at the time. Even though I'd booked the session two weeks ago. Whatever, it was free anyway. So I got the girl that was working to check my form and show me how to use the pull up/dip machine.

The first five minutes went something like this:

"So what have you been using for squats?"
"I've been using the fixed weight barbells upstairs, but I'm gonna need to upgrade to bigger ones pretty quickly so I want to use the cage today."
"Do you know what this is?" points to a smith machine.
"Is that a smith machine?"
"Yep! It's the next step up form what you were doing!!"
"No thanks, I want to use the free weights."
"But its"
"Nuhuh. Free weights! please."
"But its..."
"barbells."

...ok...

And she was a physio student too.
She could barely even lift the bar out of the rack, and she didn't know how much it weighed. I guess she doesn't go in the weights room much.

So anyway, my squat form is ok, depth is fine. I need to keep an eye on my right side though, as it tends to creep forward a bit. Dead lift seems to be ok too.

Barbell Squat:

- 12.5 kg x 5 reps
- 15 kg x 5 reps
- 20 kg x 5 reps

Form was getting a bit wobbly on the 5th rep of my working sets
Bent Over Barbell Row:
- 10 kg x 5 reps
- 12.5 kg x 5 reps
- 15 kg x 5 reps
