Happy New Year TRP, hope you all have an awesome and prosperous 2013. We appear to have a new skin on SA to bring the New Year in with.![]() We start with a review of last months OP: DOOP posted:1) Will any club obtain a stranglehold on spots 3 and 4? 2) Yes. The Manchester derby saw an end to Manchester City's 37-match unbeaten home record. 3) Nothing particularly abhorrent this month to report, although Ashley Williams did attempt to murder the aforementioned Robin van Persie in the United - Swansea game. This provoked Sir Alexander Champman 'Alex' Ferguson into creating a 'Let's stamp murder out of football' campaign. So we're all delighted to have a transfer window in which Henry James 'Harry' Redknapp is able to participate; rather than just opine about who is a 'top, top player', he's now able to spunk whatever is left of Tony Fernandes' cash on players that are desparate to play in the Championship next year. sebzilla posted:[Redknapp's Range Rover] is in the garage now having the window mechanism checked and reinforced ahead of a gruelling month. QPR need 28 points from their remaining 18 games, or pretty much 1.5 points per game. That's 60 points a season form, which would have got you into 7th last season, just behind European Champions Chelsea. edit: I'm bladdered, so will fix any typos in the morning and add more exciting content, so Bonne année and all that good poo poo ![]() Xeno fucked around with this message at Jan 1, 2013 around 04:08 |

I would put in Shawcross over Huth tbh.

Yeah pretty much agree with that. Michu could probably be in there but he's basically been playing upfront and I'm not sure he's been as influential as Suarez or RvP

Michu should be ahead of Carrick otherwise the list is okay. What has Huth done more than Shawcross though? I honestly don't know if one is supposed to be better than the other.

Not in the formation he's using. Michu's been playing at 9/10 and you can't really complain about Suarez & VP being ahead of him there. The new skin is ugly and irritating and will continue to be until I forget what the old one looked like (probably later today)

Michael Carrick has been the best and most important midfielder for the team currently top of the league by 6 points, he's always been underrated outside of United fans though

What are the chances Marveaux continues to get minutes once you get your midfielders back Newcastle fans?

Ratios and Tendency posted:What are the chances Marveaux continues to get minutes once you get your midfielders back Newcastle fans? If Ba leaves, I think it is likely he will continue in a front 3 of Marveaux/Cisse/Ben Arfa, depending on if rumours of signing Loic Remy from OM are true. He isn't good enough to replace Ben Arfa, though, and Remy is a better player as well.

I never understand why people hate so much on Carrick. Next to Van Persie and Rooney, he is easily United's most important player.

A team with a horrendous midfield is led by a horrendously mediocre midfielder. Carrick wouldn't even start for any other club in the top 6.
