How the hell are there 2 dudes holding the Knockouts Tag titles?

I hope Aces & Eights becomes the longest running unsolved pro wrestling storyline in history. It's like the reverse NWO where instead of everyone joining, nobody is revealed. It's truly amazing how TNA 2012 had some great moments and then immediately nosedived, between trying to placate Jeff Hardy and the stagnant Aces & Eights angle.

Jay Bradley and Brian Cage have been teasing a potential deal with TNA on twitter. Bradley has worked under a mask in Aces and Eights on at least one occasion while Brian will probably make PWG fans cry if he signed.

As cliche as it is to knock Hogan, TNA truly was doing really well when he was offscreen for a good part of the spring (I think he'd had surgery? not sure). Even when they hired his useless daughter, she was fine at first as they kept her TV time very short and her appearances very limited. My memory is admittedly a bit hazy here, but I basically seem to recall that Hogan came back, kept his appearances short and tolerable for a time (probably because he was still recovering from surgery or whatever), and then all of a sudden he started taking up a whole lot more TV time, along with his daughter; between that and As&8s plummeting into the realms of stupidity/Jeff Hardy winning BFG out of nowhere, I ended up just giving up on the company once more.

Aces and Eights just destroyed their momentum. The standard bad wrestling storyline, even the standard bad TNA storyline, at least leads to one interesting segment, a match people want to see, something. As I remember it, every single thing about Aces has been abjectly bad, from how much time they give it, to how little personality they let them show, to the only reveal being the worse Dudley Boy.

Paper Jam Dipper posted:Something changed around August and I have no idea what it was. Yeah, it was almost like they flipped a switch that made me go from being interested in the product to really not giving a poo poo any more. Also I think Gut Check played a part in making TNA start to head once more down the road to ridiculousness. It went from Hogan and Bischoff trying to put an American Idol/X Factor-type element into TNA programming, to just a stupid thing where the people they did "sign" never appeared on TNA TV again (while one of the "rejected" guys got more TV time after being "shot down" than any of the "winners" combined). Basically the concept went right into the toilet along with "the TV title will be defended on TV every night

coconono posted:I hate TNA but a Cliff Compton/Big LG tag running loving rampant would be TOO SWEET. *wolfpac salute to no one* Yeah, the idea of having Mike Knox, Luke Gallows, Super Domino and maybe one other guy acting like bad-rear end bikers loving people up and being general poo poo disturbers in the midcard as a heel faction sounds like a pretty good idea to me. Having them lead by a guy in a mask with a voice box while Devon is basically the focal point of the faction and oh yeah they are main event invaders is what takes the idea and flushes it down the toilet.

Maybe I'm crazy but I really don't mind a stable of bikers played by Devon, DOC, and Knox. They all look the part and no one is "bad" I'd say. There's nothing wrong with some midcard poo poo kickers. The problem is obviously the placement on the card and what feels like a year's worth of build. But nothing you can do about that second part now, and honestly I'd argue that even if the Aces and Eights stuff main eventsImpacts its basically a midcard story that just alternates for the top spots on the show between the other two upper midcard stories (Brooke and Bully being boring; Daniels and Kaz being amazing) and the world title picture.
