This is the first time I've watched an episode with subtitles, so I never knew until now that the credits theme is sung in some German sounding language.

It's like someone read all of ghost rider/spawn/etc. and was just like "gently caress it, just get to the point", and it was awesome.

Even if the subs can be a little grammatically weird sometimes, it only adds to this show. Also I like how they never explained how he went from normal cop to flaming-skull cop. Maybe righteous justice melts off your skin?

It's because it's badass, and that's the only thing that can clean up the fair city of Jack Knife Edge Town. A badge means nothing unless it's on fire

Yesterday i found a thing, and now i have this question. So, who came first: Inferno Cop or Axe cop? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL0_-fKtUqQ It lacks the charm of the former, but has the same silly over-the-top humor. And supposedly, written by a 5 years old.

Axe Cop was mos def first. The kid's 8 by now, I think. Also, I love how we're using spoiler tags in here.

So are they working on anything else besides this? I really hope so, because this is...not good. Nothing about it, from the animation to the humor or music gives me pause. Still, it's obviously hitting the right notes for some people, I just hope there's something with a bit more pep coming down the pipe for people like me who enjoyed both TTGL and P&SwG.

You also mentioned in the Onepunch Man thread that you didn't find OPM funny, if I recall correctly. If you didn't like OPM's humour, you wouldn't like Inferno Cop either. This is not a criticism, just an observation - we all have different tastes, after all.

This show is basically raw Adult Swim filtered through old shounen comics. I mean, the humor comes from the bizarre simplistic animation, the quick dialogue, the over-the-top use of pyrotechnic effects, and the riffing of old 80's action manga bits like SOUTHERN CROSS organizations of big burly dudes and a tournament-style Court System. It's pretty awesome.

I know where the humor is, it's just not my cup of tea in this case. I'm just curious if anyone knows whether Studio Trigger are working on something else - a proper show basically, since I can't imagine something this short and simple takes too much of their time up.

Meanwhile I thoroughly enjoyed the first two Inferno Cop bits but the third one falls pretty flat.

I wanted to love Inferno Cop, especially with a title like that, Gurren Lagann staff, and the promising visual of off-brand Ghost Rider, but all I ended up getting out of it was a chuckle at that

The monster is immune to his bullet, BUT SO IS HE!!! Just the absurdness of this is really enjoyable. And Axe Cop and Inferno Cop should totally meet and team up. They have about the same regard for the law/general public safety. TNG fucked around with this message at Jan 11, 2013 around 03:39 |

How come the baby fish monster thing was not immune to Inferno Cop's bullet after it bounced off of Inferno Cop? I thought the bullet would keep on bouncing between them.

Inferno Cop's bulletproof-ness negated the monster's bulletproof-ness, it makes sense if you think about it.
