That loving gif is in the OP jesus gently caress. Other than that it's dead on, although a bit too merciful towards the Roosters for my tastes.

Seeing that propunker has seemingly disappeared into the ether and that I watch the Super League out of necessity (it's not on at stupid o'clock in the States, and thus is easily watchable) I might be able to write a few words about the English comp. And no, there aren't currently dragons in the British league, although Cardiff once had a team called Blue Dragons if that counts.

Congratulations, here's your pretty much unanimous Coach of the Year award, and by the way did we mention you get the privilege of having to work with Braith Anasta next season?"

I still follow the thread, although I generally get too depressed with the inevitable performance of the London Harlequin Crusading Broncos from Fulham to be able to post anything intelligible after about mid-July. Didn't help that I heard from an impeccable source that there was a solid offer to move to Gillingham full-time after the road game (which is not nearly as stupid an idea as it sounds, they've got arguably the best-run amateur club in the South in Medway Dragons and the game last year doubled their usual attendance), they would have charged them peanuts compared to what they're paying to play in front of nobody at the Stoop, and the stupid bastards turned it down out of hand and pissed Gillingham off mightily in doing so.

Anasta's the only obvious big salary coming off the books. Maloney's reason for leaving us was to get as much money as possible. Penrith has made it clear that they wouldn't be topping up Jennings's salary if he left.

Florimo 7. Taylor 8. Fenech 9. Soden 10. Jones 11. Larson 12. Fairleigh 13. Moore Now that was a team. Matty Seers was faster than Brett Mullins and Steve Renouf that year. Greg Florimo played his heart out every game. Jason Taylor had the deadshot accuracy for goals that I thought would be missing after Halligan left. Big Mario Fenech playing 20 minutes a game before being subbed off to the bloodbin. Maruana was in two kinds, I mean Caruana in two minds. Soden the pocket rocket who came out of nowhere in 94. And that awesome, awesome back row pack, workhorses who would slog to the bitter end. Ahh, those were the good old days. Before the dark times, before the... Northern Eagles.

So I think this is the year I will start following League, because it seems that watching literally every Super Rugby (Union) game in 2012 was not enough for me. What's the best way to watch NRL on tape-delay in the US? Waking up at 2am is not really an option for me most days. Super League has been great because the team I like (Leeds) keeps winning, but all the games are in super depressing Northern cities where it seems like every game may erupt into some kind of coal-mining fiasco. So I need an NRL team to follow now. Apollodorus fucked around with this message at Jan 16, 2013 around 05:44 |

I use this from France, its a decent service. Normally games are up about 12 hours after they aired in Aus (sometimes they take like 24 and a couple of times a season they take like 3-5 days for one game for some reason). Note that you can't watch a live game that is aired in your country but you get all of them on delay. Which doesn't sound like a big deal for you, but sucks for big matches like SoO and the finals. Fortunately, at least, the media penetration of rugby (both kinds) in the US is essentially nonexistent, so if I can't watch the game live it's not as though it will be spoiled for me before I can watch a replay.
