Sadly I think the Warriors are in for another disappointing season. New coach and no Maloney will take some adjustment and I'm not sure the replacements are that impressive.

Unless we can Frankenstein up a serviceable 5/8 from the various bit players we have lined up in that position we're gonna be in for another frustrating year.

You would think with the Uber youth sides the Warriors have had over the past few years, that at least some of them could be promoted relatively cheaply and bring some raw talent to the team. After a rocky start they may just shine and bring more than say some hasbeen Aussie player.

Then after two season they get fat, useless and go to England to play.

Unfortunately halves in this country tend to like running sideways until something opens up for them. It works great until they hit first grade. Our juniors churn out great players in the forwards and outside backs, but halves are always a struggle.

I wouldn't be surprised, but it won't be this year. It sounds like he's going to give us a chance to re-sign him, but the Panthers have plenty of money to throw around, even if they go after Thurston as well.

He wants to play Origin, and NSW selectors like to pretend we don't exist. Having Gould talk him up will help his chances hepas.

I was going to make a joke about you getting into the good poo poo from Houston's stash, but I'll go with this instead:

If Feleti Mateo plays a game for the Panthers in 2013, I'll buy myself an Anastar of the thread's choosing and keep it until the first game of the 2014 season

SBW will against all odds drag the chooks kicking and screaming to the Grand Final where they will achieve glorious defeat at the hands of the Storm.

Either that or he will spend most of the season banned for shoulder-charges or such.

For what's it's worth I do support Brisbane, though I watch most games on a delay so I try to avoid the threads until post match so I don't get results spoiled. That being said, they re-signed Denan Kemp so that's....something good I guess.

Yeah Botha doesn't look like the usual obese beneficiary they role out for these types of fights, he looks like he could do some damage.

I'm ok with SBW these days, and I want to see Maloney do well. With Anasta gone the stinkyhole factor at the Roosters is much reduced, but they're still owned/managed/supported by cunts.

Thel posted:

I have no idea how this is going to work out. I still can't get over him being matched up with a sickness beneficiary, so I have no idea what Nasser is doing with him. It would be hilarious if he ended up missing matches because of Botha.

Nate Myles and Greg bird named Co captains for the titans this year. This should end well considering their joint decision making capabilities.

They couldn't do any worse than the five or six co-captains at Souths. Just call everyone captain and be done with it. Even the refs and the tuck shop lady.
