The chemistry between them all is just amazing. They all play their parts perfectly and it just works so good. The recent Total Recall episode had me rolling when they discussed the child of Sharon Stone and Michael Ironside. So glad this forum introduced them to me. I don't think they've had a bad guest host either. And their most regular guest Hallie Haglund is just great. As always you should be watching The Invisible Maniac, Castle Freak and Head of The Family.

Really enjoyed your Dracula 3000 episode weekly font. I'm not the best at critiquing things but the audio quality wasn't too bad and it was worth suffering through. You've started strong and I can only see it getting better. The film really is undeserving of that box art.

Hope the next WHM listener request month is as good as the last. The most recent episode makes me really hope for a movie allowing for non-stop JFK impersonations. Nothing better than impersonation heavy episodes.

Fezz posted:This week's WHM was good even though there were only three commentators. I've never seen She's All That despite being in their age group and now I don't have to. Hey don't you worry about Paul Walker. New episode was great and so was the guest host. You only need to see Not Another Teen Movie and you know every scene their referencing. Might just be nostalgia but I love that drat movie.

Dammit they're supposed to be out every Tuesday without fail! Thanks to whoever recommended the NOTLP. Man is it good to have 300+ episodes to binge through.

OldTennisCourt posted:A bit of warning for NOTLP, the early episodes have a couple of members, Matt and I forget the other guy who, maybe it's just me, are super loving annoying. Thankfully they leave the show in the mid 50's or so,but they can be really grating. Once they get the main crew together, Andy, Freddy, Amy, Chiz, Kelly and Erica the show gets amazing. You need to donate to get those early episodes now so I've only heard those co-hosts once or twice. Couldn't agree more about it being magic when the main group get together especially for Andy's Porner.

Perhaps a little off topic but I feel that people here would appreciate the Best Of The Worst segment from Red Letter Media. They review three bad movies each episode and they've had some real gems. With classics like Gymkata and Miami Connection to some really strange stuff like The Dance Of Birth and hopefully one day Tree Stand Safety. I'd definitely recommend fans of bad movies check them out. Their newest episode had a movie straight out of a WHMs side order of sleaze which looks to be coming back.

Just got back from a Home Alone double feature and the most recent WHM was both great and totally right. Kevin McAllister is loving terrifying in that second film. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern were a delight but I still can't believe what he did to Fred Savage. (That's probably my favourite NOTLP bit)

Beeez posted:I've not really gotten into Flophouse because I already have enough podcasts to listen to and the sound was so bad in their first episode I couldn't get through it. Could I just listen to episodes featuring movies I'd like to hear mocked, or is it so in-joke-y that it's not worth bothering? Don't start with the first episode. Episode 8 is the first with Elliot and the 'real' start of the podcast. Bratz, Prom Night, The Happening and Mirrors are all great early episodes. Anything with the original peaches is worth a listen.

Once I realised you weren't gonna be updating again I felt pretty bad that I only made one post about the podcast all the way back with the Dracula 3000 episode. Sometimes I forget this thread isn't just the WHM, Flophouse (and sometimes HDTGM) thread. Keep the thread updated on when the new series starts and you'll have one definite listener in me. Speaking of little mentioned podcasts, it was nice to see Your Stupid Minds tackle The Fog. Probably this first movie I ever hate watched.

So the Flophouse/Adventure Zone crossover is great, go listen to it. http://www.maximumfun.org/shows/adventure-zone I'd be so happy if this turned into the Flophouse version of animation damnation. It's also criminal that we never got Eric's Once in a Lifetime sideshow.
