Intro

I've been fairly lardy since I was about 13. Barring a few months in 2009 (I think) when I cycled a lot and restricted my calories. Now I'm at my fattest yet and I want to loose that fat again.

I'm a bit asthmatic, but I havn't bothered to get an inhaler for years. It just takes time for me to keep up on the excercise and build up my lungs strength. Or maybe that is just being an unfit fatty. Another isis I've been taking SSRIs for a while now. I get shin splint alot since I started taking them, and they apparently can cause muscle weakness.

I've got to make these two excuses into despites. And I'm unemployed at the moment... so I should have all the time in the world for now.

Gut

So I'm 5ft 6", 23 years old and I weigh 88.5kg as of now.

So, I hadn't done any sort of exercise today. It is freezing outside and most of the ground is covered in snow and slush.... so I was making excuses. So I forced myself out on the BMX to cycle as fast as I could as far as I could before my breathing got horrible. Only made it about 0.29 miles and then cycled back the same way.

Sir! A message from Bentham!

Hello! I love sloths and so I want you to succeed.

There are tons bodyweight exercises you can do inside in the comfort of your own home if you're just starting out.

One thing that I was trying to do when I couldn't breathe (it wasn't asthma, but bronchitis) was Yoga. It still gets your muscles going without getting you too out of breath!

Anyways I'll be following you, and good luck!

Echoing both of these sentiments! Make use of your body weight while it's higher than you like - you are your own best exercise equipment!

Thanks all..

My new cycle computer came today so I'll have a way to measure my distance on my single speed bike instead of using Google maps to measure.

Not done much exercise but a little walking, dropping weight though. I'll get some done this week I swear.

Lifted a weight, printed off a spreadsheet to keep track of what I'm doing each week. I'll post on Saturday so you can laugh at my light lifts.

I also pulled a muscle a bit. Remember to stretch Sloth you idiot.

Also got to get some fabric and copy this Sloth:

Welp, had a bit of a bad week along with some distractions to my routine.... but I did do a bit of the exercise I planned to do.

Monday:
Barbell Curls
20kg x 8
20kg x 8
20kg x 8

Military/Overhead Press
20kg x 12
20kg x 5
20kg x 5

Kettlebell Triceps Extension
7.5kg x 16
7.5kg x 20
7.5kg x 16

Kettlebell Lateral Raise
7.5kg x 8
7.5kg x 6
7.5kg x 6

Thursday:
Squats
20kg x 10
20kg x 10

I should squat heavier but I don't have a rack so I will not risk lifting much until I am overhead pressing more. I find hard to get used to the aching where the bar sits on my back when I haven't lifted anything in a while.

Been really busy with work, and also my dad had a heart attack last week, so I have not found the time or energy to do much exercise. On the plus side I'm eating a bit better at the moment. Also cycled to work instead of walking today, my new (on in the OP) bike owns. Hopefully it will not get nicked there like the last one.

Been cycling to work, fixed up my bike after a puncture... including installing the odometer. Going to have to make myself do at least a 10 mile bike ride soon...

I now weigh 86.5 kg... a small loss of weight at least.
Guess I'll lift a weight or something since there is too much snow to cycle.

About 67-70kg.

Intended to cycle 10 miles, was defeated by my weak lungs, uphill path and wind against me combo.

Got about 2.5 miles.

Yes, you do. If it's a standard 7' bar with 2" sleeves at the ends, it should weigh 20 kg.

Been in a massive rut, but I've started to stop myself overeating again and I've dropped down to 81.4 kg. Gotta get cycling.
