Well that was an interesting series of posts.

On to Notebook News.

Received Notebook from RavenousElegance.
I will add my contributions, and be sending it on its merry little way to Terran Raida.
Hooray, forward motion!

For Battle Pigeon's group, here's the updated list.

quote:

Battle Pigeon 5
i_scream_truck 6
Rare Polar Bear 7
Cherrymanga 6
EZipperelli 4
Nice Davis 7
Currawong 3
i miss new wave 7
prenatalflunky 7
CeramicPig 6
H-Tail 7
Hex Vision 2
Battle Pigeon 5

So once Rare Polar Bear receives the notebook, he's sending it to EZipperelli instead of Cherrymanga.

Nope, because Rare Polar Bear never replied to emails back when i_scream_truck was still claiming he'd send it. So the first three people now are a no-go.

I have plenty of common sense. I just choose to ignore it.

Ugh, TWO lists and I can't get my cheetos stained fingers on a book yet... Hopefully it works out this time...

Well, unless Cherrymanga comes back (if you're still reading, try checking out D&D or the Feminism thread etc, goons aren't all bad) it looks like I'll be posting a notebook to you next week!

Also I forgot to actually send a message to genesplicer, but if he doesn't want to do another notebook, I'll send to Nenuphar since he replied first (assuming I read correctly and he wants it).

Could someone PM Pierre the Mime and shake him down for our drat notebook? I would but I lost PMs due to tragic misuse of Latin.

Cymbal Monkey is on probation for another 24 days so who knows if my notebook has been sent or not.

Game over, boys.

So let me get this straight. This is a fun free time project where you write or draw or glue anything you wish into a notebook and then pass it on however you wish. So far the top reasons for pulling out have been:

A) Inability to use the post office
B) Not receiving the notebook yet
C) An unrelated argument about Angelina Jolie's boobs with some other people who have nothing to do with said notebook

It really makes me wonder about the people who disappeared from the project without explanation. I mean, how embarrassing can their reasons BE?

This is a metaphor, a Christian allegory. The fact that I have to explain to you that Jesus is the Warthog, and the Banana is drepanocytosis is just embarrassing for you.

It sure has been something! Imagine, 5 months ago, you could have never foreseen such antics.

Who has dropped out because of this? I was just frustrated (and later surprised) with how terrible the post office is in my area.

Blood Queen of Thunderdome

I had to mail a sketchbook for a project once, there really is a kind of unnerving stare that the ladies at the post office can give you when you're all fumbly and don't know what you're doing. Coldly maternal with a predatory gleam. But I have returned from that scary place and I have to say, if you have the correct address with you and stand at the counter looking helpless for long enough, someone will help you mail a thing to a place.

Anyway, Stabitha, Genesplicer, anyone else who's active who'd like to carry on, I'd be down. Or if there's a bunch of pacific northwest goons who want to start a Goon Notebook: Cascadian Edition, that might be faster and easier for some of us and plus we can come find you if you disappear while in possession of the notebook. Accountability, see.

I've never done one of these before. Has it ever worked?

Track down Son of Thunderbeast and steal my notebook from him. Then say hi to his doggies, they were adorable.

????????????

Yeah seriously where the hell did that guy go?

Just posting to continue to affirm that my notebook may be moving slowly but it's not my fault. He still hasn't mailed it to me or said anything.

He posted something about being out of work and looking for a job I think. Maybe he lost internet access?

He posted two days ago: http://forums.somethingawful.com/sh...0#post415504117

As an update, genesplicer was happy to be the first recipient of the random notebook, and unless Cherrymanga comes back EZipperelli will be getting my group notebook.

I've been waiting for the book for a while. I still haven't received it.

Edit: Did you include a tracking number with the shipping? If you sent it a while ago I'm genuinely curious where it's at.
