We've been playing this party game for a while, and just decided to call it "Too Long; Didn't See." The basic idea of the game is that you go around in a circle and each person describes a movie they've never seen, sometimes with funny results. Secretary is about a murdering secretary who wants to be an actress? Dr. Zhivago is about an island of mutant animals?

I thought you guys might get a kick out of trying it yourselves. So get someone to describe a movie they've never seen, then draw their story. It seems like this might work especially well with little kids, your out-of-touch in-laws, or non-Americans.

I've never seen any of The Godfather movies. Without IMDB...

I think it's like this three part trilogy about the Mafia. It could be the same one where the guy is all like, "say hello to my little friend!" and has this mega-gun and starts shooting all these serious business-Mafia guys. There's cocaine, and slutty ladies, and one mecha-badass. I think the Godfather is like the leader of the Mafia and he's really mad at the badass guy. So maybe it's like Star Wars where in the first movie, he's training and taking down smaller henchmen. Then in the second movie, the girl (who I never introduced but I'm sure she was in there somewhere with all the cocaine and sluttiness) fucks with his head and gets in the way, but he comes out a stronger badass. Also more cocaine, and a horse's head in his bed because The Godfather is legit pissed. Then in the third movie he finally defeats The Godfather and takes over his position as head of the Mafia Inc and does a lot more cocaine.

Is his name Scarface or is that another movie?

I found this book in a used book store a few years ago and flipped through it, though I'd totally forgotten about it until I read this thread. I got weird flashbacks to it when I saw the part in the comic about the fish and the bird. Thank you for confirming that I'm not a crazy person, and that this book does in fact exist.

This is making me wish I remembered my aunt's batshit insane summary of "The Little Mermaid". Come to mention it, asking any adult to summarize a Disney movie results in gold.

But anyway, my mom read the title of a movie I wanted her to watch and asked if it was the one where, "The main character finds out he's actually a cyber-something-sci-fi-stupid thing.
