Kawasaki's are notoriously noisy, slow, and unreliable machines that deliver dull experiences. I don't know why I've owned five of them in the past three years. On top of that, they're ugly.

This is completely true.

Also, green. Who the gently caress makes their trademark factory color a hideous green?

Probably to induce rage and provoke automobiles into wiping them out. This goes to help reduce the roads of those chintzy machines, which is a Good Thing.

My first bike was a 1991 EX500

Great for a first bike, but I was way too big for it.

What's funny is I don't have any pictures handy of my old bike and googled EX500 and that is actually my old bike. The guy I sold it to posted pictures.

not enough team green appreciation in here. I honestly like lime green

does anyone have suggestions for a primer and paint to use on the case/cylinder? the case seems to be bare aluminum. they are starting to look ugly next to the powder coat frame.

I'm not a big Kawasaki fan. Normally I roll like this:

But I gotta say, go back to 1985 and look at these two bikes, both around 1000cc, both i4, both water cooled, both ugly:

If you hop on one of em -- the one with the bigger engine and fuel injection -- and go WOT through all the gears, you'll be like "oh ok that's nice." The other one, you go WOT through all the gears, you'll be like "gently caress."

And Kelly McGillis rode on the back of one back when she was hot.

I'm not really feeling the green, though.

We're in the pipe, five by five.

A Gpz900R would be a very welcome addition to my garage, too bad I'm about 15 cm too tall to look good on it.

Rev. Dr. Moses P. Lester posted:

I was going to say something like "what do mean, shes still hot isn't she". And then I did a GIS and realized I must have thought of someone else. And to think she's actually one year younger than Geena Davis (who I'd argue is still a very attractive woman).

still waiting on the cylinder

sent the fork back but it turns out it did not actually leak, it seems that the packaging was oily. When I got it I assumed that it was leaking because it was covered with oil on the bottom half.

a shout out to Pro-Action of IL. he took it back no questions asked and went out of his way to make sure everything was 100%. He was even going to pay shipping both ways. When he sent it back he also threw in a 50 buck service gift certificate. I got a klx shock that could use a rebuild...

Heres some hot Naked Ninja action.

I took most of the plastics and metal bits off to paint them. Just waiting until I can build a little paint booth in the backyard and to finalize a design scheme in my head. Currently thinking purple and white but thats changed about eight times now.

Here's my Versys. Picked it up a couple weeks ago and it's been my daily driver since.

(Also note the V-Strom and SV650s in the parking area at work.)

The PO was going in a touring direction, as you can tell by the saddlebags. I love those things, even if it makes the bike look like a fat dwarf with massive lovehandles.

Just went through the exercise of playing with the rear pre-load. I was not expecting the wrestling match that ensued there. The spannier wasn't flush with the ring, which made it really hard to maintain a grip. I wanna take a crack at the front next.

I also wanna replace the mirrors with convex glass. It's really nice to see behind and to the side at the same time.
