30 Man Royal Rumble:
Featuring: John Cena, Randy Orton, Ryback, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Wade Barrett, Antonio Cesaro, Team Hell No, Prime Time Players, and 3MB

WWE Title Match - If Shield interfere CM Punk will be stripped of the title:
CM Punk(c) w/ Paul Heyman vs. The Rock

Last Man Standing Match for the World Heavyweight Title:
Alberto Del Rio(c) w/ Ricardo Rodriguez vs. The Big Show

WWE Tag Team Title Match:
Team Hell No(c) vs. Team Rhodes Scholars

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

- Watch Smackdown! If you can't watch it live, watch it later!

- Smackdown opened with Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez celebrating Del Rio's title win with a fiesta in the ring. Dolph Ziggler and company come down to talk trash to Del Rio and remind him that he's the holder of Money in the Bank. Big Show comes down to the ring to yell at Dolph and Del Rio. Sheamus come out to back up Del Rio as does Booker T. Booker T makes the tag match of Ziggler and Show vs. Del Rio and Sheamus. The heel leave as the faces dance and celebrate in the ring.

- Antonio Cesaro defeated Kofi Kingston.

- Backstage Primo, Epico, and Rosa are making fun of Miz claiming that he is Ric Flair's newest sidekick. Miz challenges either Epico or Primo to a match.

- Great Khali and Tensai had a match whatever.

- Backstage Team Hell No are arguing as Randy Orton walks in. He asks them if they are going to keep bickering like children, but Team Hell No states they aren't children, they are just channeling their anger like they were taught. Daniel Bryan ask if Orton wants to hug after they win their match tonight, and Orton states he isn't a hugging person.

- Team Hell No and Randy Orton defeat Wade Barrett and Rhodes Scholars. After the match Team Hell No give Orton a group hug.

- Miz defeats Primo with the Figure Four.

- Layla and Alica Fox are congratulating Kaitlyn on her title victory. Layla seems a little jealous. Booker T and Teddy Long congratulate her too, and Kaitlyn says she's just happy that Eve quit.

- Kaitlyn defeats Aksana.

- The Shield cut a promo on their attempted attack on Mick Foley. They claim that Foley is the reason to blame for kids growing up and getting hurt pretending to be just like him. They claim Foley is in denial about this fact and either way he will be held accountable for his actions. Foley will be held accountable just like Ryback was. Shield claims that Ryback is complaining too much about Shield delivering their brand of justice. They talk about how they only broke one bone in Orton's body and will break the rest. They also bring up how Sheamus likes to fight for fun and how that's unacceptable, unlike their fight for justice.'

- Backstage Orton is watching the promo as Sheamus walks in. They discuss how the Shield likes to act tough but aren't. Sheamus then apologizes for not backing up Orton on WWE Main Event when they attacked. Orton says he doesn't need Sheamus' protection, just like at the Royal Rumble when it is every man for themselves.

- Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus beat Big Show and Dolph Ziggler by count out. Big Show got counted out voluntarily after Ricardo splashed him with a bucket making him walk away in anger.

- Watch Smackdown! If you can't watch it live, watch it later!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

- Raw opens with Vickie Guerrero and Paul Heyman recapping how much of a horrible and rude person The Rock is. Vickie announces that the Rock is banned from the arena tonight and if he enters it he will be arrested. The police offers confront Rock about him getting into the arena. Rock claims each officer that they should arrest CM Punk for being a fake champ and that no matter what he's going to get into that ring tonight. Vickie claims the only song Rock will be singing tonight if he enters the ring is Jail House Rock.

- Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler announce that there will be Beat the Clock challenges tonight, and the person who wins their match the fastest gets to pick what number they enter the Rumble at.

- Randy Orton vs Antonio Cesaro are first in a Beat the Clock. Randy Orton eventually wins at 11:36, which means everyone after has to beat that time later.

- WWE Recaps that Mick Foley is the first WWE Hall of Famer of 2013 and played a video package for him.

- A Shield promo airs of them taking out Ryback at Survivor Series and them taking out Sheamus, Orton, and Miz. Shield says states they work for themselves and do what they want. They seek out the truth and justice that they believe in.

- Big Show knocked Zack Ryder out to win his match. The commentary booth is joined by Brad Maddox when they announce that at the Royal Rumble that Big Show will now challenge Del Rio in a Last Man Standing rematch. Brad Maddox leaves the announce booth as soon as Ryder is KOed.

- Backstage Paul Heyman is on the phone as Brad Maddox interrupts Paul Heyman yet again. Heyman gives Maddox one more chance, but does so condescendingly.

- Ryback beats Heath Slater and thrashed the rest of the 3MB. Ryback finally announces that he will officially be in the Royal Rumble, a match he was built for.

- Rock is trying to sweet talk the police into letting him into the building because they know who the Rock is. He mentions that not only do the police represent and work for the people, but so does the Rock so they are on the same page. Rock almost gets the cops to let him in until Vickie Guerrero shows up and reminds them to do their job. Vickie brags that Rock is going to stay outside away from the people while CM Punk is in the ring addressing the people. Rock insults Vickie until she leaves and then he plots with the police to let him in.

- Raw Roulette returns next week!!!!

- CM Punk gives a great promo, that I can't give justice to.

- Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz in the second Beat the Clock match and either have to beat 11:35. Dolph barely wins at 10:56 with some help from Big E Langston and AJ Lee on the outside.

- Kane and Daniel Bryan graduated from Anger management class. They both came down in graduation gowns. EVERYBODY HUGGED!!! YAAAAAAYYYY!!!!!

- Kaitlyn defeated Alicia Fox.

- Paul Heyman promised a treat for CM Punk and gave him a skybox seating. Paul Heyman cuts a promo about how Rock isn't paying attention properly to CM Punk and just like the People, is stupid. Rock them comes out with a ticket in hand and cuts a promo relating to having a dream just like Martin Luther King Jr and wants to set that title free from Punk's hands. The lights go out and the Shield lay out the Rock with the Triple Powerbomb. CM Punk lays down some words of truth that come the Royal Rumble, the Rock will realize that the Great One just comes short to reaching the Best in the World.

- Wade Barrett vs Sheamus in the last Beat the Clock match and one of them has to beat 10:56. During the match Dolph Ziggler and company run down to distract both wrestlers. Sheamus eventually hits the Brogue Kick on Barrett as time ended in a draw, allowing Dolph to win the chance to pick his Rumble number.

- Dolph Ziggler and AJ run into Vickie's office taunting her about winning the Beat the Clock Challenge. Dolph demanded the 30th spot but Vickie lied and claimed that the only spots to pick from were 1 and 2. She laughed and walked away as Dolph and AJ looked defeated.

- CM Punk and Paul Heyman are walking backstage until they run into Vince McMahon. Vince announces that if Shield gets involved in the match at the Royal Rumble, then CM Punk will be striped of the WWE Championship.

- Alberto Del Rio defeated Tensai in short, but passable match. DEL RIO HIT A BEAUTIFUL GERMAN SUPLEX ON TENSAI!!!

- The second inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame for 2013 is Bob Backlund!!!!!!

- John Cena cuts a promo, but the main point is that come Sunday he's gonna win the Royal Rumble. Sheamus comes out and says that he's gonna win the Royal Rumble, then the Prime Time Players claim they will win. Then Orton claims he's going to win the Royal Rumble, then Miz. Team Hell No come out claiming that one of them will win, until Antonio Cesaro comes out to claim he will win it. Then 3MB obviously come out and claim they will win. The rest of the roster comes running from the back as every one brawls in the ring Rumble style until the show ends.

I get the timing somewhat but in a way, given how the rumble sells itself (since it owns), it's kind of surprising how such a major title match is attached.

Not complaining, show should be awesome.

That loving final segment...I will require some form of video evidence that it really happened and this isn't some absurd daydream. Literally everything about it was nauseating poo poo. Cena's promo was probably the second worst I've ever heard from him (first being one of the in ring segments with John Laurinaitis where he was the most annoying gently caress who ever lived), the audio was a complete mess, no one got any reaction whatsoever, then every jobber ever comes out for no reason and they have a generic brawl. Just atrocious in every conceivable way.

It can't be stated enough just how bizarre and stupid that final segment was. Cena's promo was just a meandering pile of poo poo. Then the microphone parade just kept building up toward the final reveal of...3MB. And then a brawl happened. It was just pure babbling whatthefuckery. I can't believe it main evented the show over the awesome Punk and Rock promos.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it nauseating or a pile of poo poo but it was really, really pointless and lame. All that build of people coming out would have been worth something if like Brock Lesnar's music hit or something genuinely surprising to build to the Rumble. Instead it was just "Do you remember the Rumble is a bunch of people brawling? Cool, just wanted to mail it in."
