First-Ever Traditional Games Late-Winter Dice Exchange!

The Crowdfunding Megathread just had a pretty interesting brainwave; What if we had another TG gift exchange, this one just for dice!

Well, I have decided to take it upon myself to make such a thing happen. If you participated in the TG Secret Santa, you'll know the routine. For newcomers, here's how it'll work:

You'll have until Friday, February 8th to sign up for the dice exchange.
No later than Sunday, February 10th, you'll receive the address of your dice exchange buddy.
You then have until Friday, February 22nd to seek out, purchase, and ship some dice or dice-related accessories to your exchange buddy. (If you have cool stuff in your personal collection you'd like to send out, that's fine too.)

Let's say that the dollar-amount target to hit is the $5-$15 range. That covers most "regular" dice sets I've seen, and gives some leeway for buying funny colored single dice or something. This won't be nearly as extravagant as the Secret Santa exchange, this is just a fun little diversion and a way to see what your fellow goons will come up with.

To sign up, follow these two steps:

1) Make a post in this thread stating interest and giving a brief list of stuff you'd like. (i.e. do you want standard gaming dice, funny colored 6-siders, a dice cup or fancy dice bag, etc) Fair warning, if you fail to make a declaration of interest in some manner of product, some nefarious goon may in fact send you a die emblazoned with various phallic forms.

2) Send an e-mail containing your Name, Forum Name, Mailing Address and Your Willingness (or lack thereof) to ship internationally to TGDiceExchange@gmail.com. I'll do what I can to match people up based on their country of origin, but if you're the only dice-happy goon in Zimbabwe, you may have to ship internationally.

Since this gift exchange is going to be for smaller ticket items than the full-on gift-travaganza that was the Secret Santa exchange, I won't be nearly as anal about getting shipping notifications from participants. We're on the honor system here, but I think we've all learned not to grinch each other.

Let's get this party started! I'm headed to work here pretty quick, but I'll try to be on hand in the next few days to answer any questions that may come up.

Hell yeah dice! I am cool with all sorts of dice and could also use a nice sack for them as an encouragement to stop keeping them in the original boxes. Penis dice welcome!

We're all mad here.

I wish to provide the people of this community with dice and dice accessories. Also I wouldn't mind receiving dice and dice accessories. I'm not really picky as to what. The more interesting the better!

e: wasn't sure what to put in the subject of the email so I just said something about this dike sexchange or whatever it is we're doing I don't even know

Spicy!

I'm in!

Sorry, I'm a lame USPS only dude.

Dice preference: I've got a 6m old at home, so to keep the wife happy, I'm especially interested in 55mm or larger dice... but green dice (esp. green fudge dice) are my favorite.

In other news, doing some quick research on dice sources, I found that Koplow's site is awful, Chessex hasn't updated anything past the front page since 2011 some time, ChessexEurope used to be hosted on a geocities page (and is now gone), and dice suppliers in general seem to have carcinogenic websites.

I Love Dice.

I'll take any kind of dice you'd like to send me, though I use d10s the most.

As for what I'll send: I've got a couple of cool sets...

Dice are amazing.

I have a giant ugly bag of dice and too many dice bags. I do a lot of tabletop wargaming so cool D6s would be awesome but cool dice in general would be great.

You wanted me... Here I am.

Sign me up. I started playing Dungeons and Dragon back in the early 1980's. My brother had one of the original D&D Basic sets. It had light blue dice in it (I may still own them).
My favorite set were the transparent ones. I haven't really played in years, so something new/different might be cool.

This is such a weird and wonderful idea for a an exchange thread, I can't help but participate! I like strange dice. Odd colors, materials, symbols (phallic or otherwise), etc. That being said, any die'll do!

Oh man, I'm in on this.

The only dice I have is a purple D&D set, so I want any and all kinds of weird or numerous dice you can think of. Or dice misceallanea; the only thing I don't need is dice bags, as I've got a bunch of dice bags. I don't know how I have more dice bags than dice.

I'm interested in getting in on this, but I've got to warn that all I've got is 50~ d4-20 dice and like 36 tiny green d6s that I was going to use for warhams before I realized I don't have that kind of money. The poor sap whose name I receive is probably getting a completely random assortment. I like blue dice, any hue thereof stretching from green to purple, any texture, any type, crazy dice welcome. Also my dice-bag's falling apart so if I get a nice one I'd be really happy

Travelin' at the speed of light.

Sent my Email. I like all kinds of dice, and my favorite game system is Shadowrun. Any appropriately cyberpunk-ish dice or dice bags would be pretty sweet. Really interesting color mixes or otherwise weird dice are also awesome, provided they aren't like overly vulgar or anything; I GM for my nieces and nephews occasionally, and I'd like to be able to share this and it's stories with them.

EDIT: Also, I really wanted to take part in the Secret Santa this past year, but my new car has broken my bank . I can spare some dice for a like minded goon, even if it means taking from my collection if need be.

So in on this! I've got a pound (well, short a few sets) of dice, so I can throw a couple extra winners in with my dice set purchase. My FLGS doesn't have dice bags, so I can't find those loving things (I would prefer buying stuff locally) but I can get dice! Full sets of d4-d20 or just sets of d10s and stuff.

I would like: a dice bag for my girlfriend. She usually plays eladrin or elf, so something in that vein would be extra awesome.

I will send you: whatever you want, save a dice bag, plus a few extra dice to sweeten the deal. I can't tell you what they are though (big surprise).

I would prefer domestic (non international) shipping.

gently caress yeah TG!

Email sent! Man, this is awesome. I love glow in the dark dice, but not the LICK ELBOW "sexy" kind. Also Chessex red-speckled white dice that look blood-spattered, but they're a pain to find since they only come in those 1lb bags of dice. Or those crazy red & green ones they made for Vampire that never actually made it out of those bags either.

These are pie-in-the-sky dreams, and I won't be sad if they're impossible to find. The only thing that will make me sad is sexy dice.

I have some good ideas for whoever gets me! This is a great idea, and I'm glad to participate.

A few quick questions: will there be lighting rounds, a la secret santa?

Also, will we be able to contact our giftees (?dicees?) through you (jivjov) to ask questions?

Not sure about any extra lightning rounds yet, kinda depends on how round one goes.

And yeah, if you have a pressing question for your secret dice buddy, I can be a go-between on that.

Sign me up! I'm down for anything as long as it's cool, unique, or odd. Please don't get me boring, ho-hum dice. Precision and uninked dice welcome, if that's your thing. A quality dice bag would also be a pretty cool gift; I've been using some sort of Sony drawstring bag and it's starting to fall apart.

Also I think we're ok as far as time is concerned, White Dragon.

I just realized my gift is actually being mailed to my address instead of my off-season-Santee's because of a dumb mistake I made checking out.

But it'll be arriving (and re-mailed) between Tuesday, Feb. 26 and Tuesday, Mar. 5 according to the vendor! (I'll put in something extra to make up for the delay. Oops.)

I won't be at my mailing address until the 24th, so I may not post confirmation until after then. On the other hand, my giftee should be receiving something in a day or two. Hope all is well.

Someone's dice have apparently arrived for me but the post office doesn't want to put the package in our postbox, so I'll send mine out when I go to pick it up.
