Hey, there's one of these for movies in GBS and it's pretty great! Also, I saw no rule against forum games here so...? Well, here's hoping this is cool, I think it could be fun.

Similar to how it works in GBS, one person (at a time) posts an image or series of images, up to ten, from various anime series or movies. *MUST BE JAPANESE ANIME, NO MANGA OR WEB ANIMATIONS OR ANIME-INSPIRED PSEUDO-THING, ETC.* Also, and this is the stickiest point, it must be distinctive. NO characterless background shots unless the scenery itself is indisputably distinct from anything else, no random shots of an object or prop unless, again, it's very clearly from a specific anime that stands out. Also, don't alter the image, don't pull filtered or cropped versions of shots from AMVs, etc etc., native screens only.

First person to guess the correct source has their name edited into the post along with the answer in spoiler tags until all images are guessed and/or 24 hours-ish of stumpery has passed and then someone else with a bevy of interesting images goes, first come first serve. In the GBS game, there is an optional hints system for stumpery whereby another, hopefully more familiar picture from the same source is posted alongside the first one, and I think that's a cool idea, but it's up to the poster.

Very lax game, more for the fun of revisiting titles and picking your own brain than lording points over anybody. Screenshot games and collections like these for movies really celebrate the mise-en-scene and artistry as much as they're fun for the fandom, so let's see some awesome, striking, or just plain weird-rear end choices rather than boring ones intended solely to stump. If possible. Just sayin.

Anyhoo, I'll kick us off, I tried to gather a wide bevy of images ranging from easy to slightly hard, but I don't expect any of these to last long. Ganbare~!

2) Kleptobot guessed Steins;Gate. El Psy Congroo!

3) Senerio guessed Baby Blue. (Shortie but a goodie from Genius Party.)

4) Trojan Kaiju guessed BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad. FULL MOON SWAY.

5) Confused Llama guessed Key the Metal Idol. ...It is old and rusty.

6) Blhue guessed Usagi Drop. DoNotReadTheBooksThereAreNoBooksDoNotReadThem.

7) Takanago guessed Sora no Woto. "Sound of the Sky" indeed.

8) Kleptobot guessed Bakemonogatari. Simply

9) Kleptobot guessed Cowboy Bebop. See you, space cowboy!

10) Aureon guessed Black Cat. Oh Creed, you so cray-cray...

Correct! Might wanna read the (loose to begin with) rules before throwing up an image though. (Hint hint, it's not your turn yet.) If everyone posts images constantly, the thread becomes an imagedump with too few answers and no good specification of what is an answer to what. Wait 'til there's a lull in guesses for the current post or everything in it is identified.

Correct! Very distinctive direction style on that one from Shin Itagaki, who also helmed Ben-to. He does run-of-the-mill anime in a weird hyper-surreal style, wonder what would happen if he got his hands on something with a more lofty story.

Also, Weird Bias' #2 screengrab is Paprika.

And BooDoug187's #2 miiiiight be Monster? Tempted to say that one's too generic to guess, honestly. I'll add a hint or two to the images of mine that haven't been guessed yet.
