One cool taco...

VIZIO SV370XVT - 37" Widescreen 1080p LCD HDTV

I have this television about 1+ years old, the screen glows black, as well as if you look through the vents there is a glow as well. Can change channels and hear sound, just no picture. I have it open and am looking for bad solder points on the board to see if a if something fried but can't see anything at the moment. Anyone have tips to diagnose?

Ok new developments. Should working electronics/boards look burnt/fried/black? I'm guessing no. It appears to be the power supply (via google). Would that cause it?

The close up is on the board on the left

Yep

Failure of the power supply is not uncommon in Vizios, and that's what this appears to be.

Neither is it uncommon in Vizios for the failure to occur after less than two years.
