Finally found a video of this... Chase Tapley's buzzer beater against Boise State last Wednesday http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmTaeng7uM0 He was 0-6 on 3s before this attempt, and he mentioned after the game that this was the first game winning shot he's ever had in his four year career at SDSU. I love Chase Tapley

I'm still pissed about last year when OSU won in the Kohl Center for the first time in forever and then poo poo the bed at home. At least we had a semi-comfortable victory at home this year because I'm pretty sure we're going to lose in a horrendously unwatchable game in Madison later on.

What does Arizona have to do to get some #1 votes? Sounds like a ton of people in the media are ready to start voting Miami, but you know, we did beat them. I know they didn't have Reggie Johnson, but we beat the gently caress out of them so I'm not sure it would have mattered. Also, we beat another of the #1 contenders (Florida). I know we haven't looked great, but neither has anyone else this year. Nobody respects this team at all despite some really good wins, and it's gonna really suck if we're still somehow behind Gonzaga this week. (watch us lose to Cal tonight and I look retarded)

I don't know if the same would happen today, but I think a lot of polsters will go "Arizona beat Miami so Arizona should be higher. I think all of the top four will get first place votes.

With Cal in the picture, the PAC 12 could get up to 7 bids (prolly will be more like 4-5, but 7 teams are at least in the picture now). So the rumor going around is that Kansas is losing part due to some trouble with Self. Supposedly his wife found out that he was cheating on him and now he's living in a condo in Lawrence. I heard about this from a friend weeks ago (whose friend-of-a-friend claimed to have slept with Self), but thought it was bullshit. It's probably nothing, but who knows. Let's wait until the season is over and there might be some breaking SI or Yahoo story about it, Self leaves for a struggling NBA team, we end up hiring Turgeon, and Lawrence collectively commits suicide. But again, repeating that this is probably just a rumor made up on message boards (people keep posting stuff about it on the Scout/Rivals boards, but the threads are deleted right away) coupled with a random, anecdotal thing that I have heard. I can't find anything anywhere on twitter or the internet (sans Scout/Rivals/local newspaper message board) about it. However, there's no way that an actual story coming out of this could be funnier than Pitino. vegaji fucked around with this message at Feb 11, 2013 around 02:52 |
