Hi all, I had an idea about how to capture and present a video of a warhammer 40k tournament game. (details can be seen in my thread in the dorkroom) http://forums.somethingawful.com/sh...hreadid=3528037 Anyway, I uploaded the videos of the first ForceZ tournament I went to last Sunday. I think the videos came out pretty good, let me know what you think and things I could improve. http://www.youtube.com/user/Tabletoptourneys/featured One thing I will be doing differently for the next tourney (The Gauntlet) is making the time-lapse interval 1 second rather than 2. This will make the time-lapse video a little longer, but allow a bit more conversation to take place. Any feedback would be appreciated.

The second round of videos are going up on Youtube as we speak. the first one is there already and there rest will be up within the next hour or two. Head on over to my channel and take a look. http://www.youtube.com/user/Tableto...s?feature=guide One piece of feedback I got from the last set of videos was to try and capture all of the table. Unfortunately I didn't get the wide-angle lense for the time-lapse camera in time. However it will be arriving this week and so for the next tournament, we should be good to go!

I have to admit that I initially thought that this was some sort of scam post. Upon further investigation, your work looks good! This technique for a battlereport is neat and I enjoy it quite a bit more than watching people slowly move bits in real time and jabber on. I'm not sure if it warrants a completely new thread, but I for one would be interested in seeing more as I love battlereports and this makes them easier to sit through. Either way you should probably link it in the Warhammer 40,000 thread.

The third round of videos are up! This month’s tournament is a 5 game, 1750 point slug fest called rapid confrontation held on the gold coast (Queensland, Australia) Head on over to my channel and take a look. http://www.youtube.com/user/Tableto...s?feature=guide I got the wide angle lens and the time lapse now captures about 90% of the 6x4 table. Really happy about how the videos turned out, but as always, if you have feedback, let me know. Simon Gojky fucked around with this message at Mar 17, 2013 around 10:24 |

ijyt posted:I have to say, I'm really enjoying these, not seen any BRs done in time-lapse yet. Thanks heaps. I also haven't seen any time-lapse battle reports, and definitely none which cover tournaments. It's why i started doing this, cause this is the type of reports I want to watch. Would love for people to be inspired and do their own!
