It's still very early in the contest, but so far VTech is leading UNC by 12-2 in Chapel Hill. UNC of course has over thirty minutes to recover and VTech is going to have to score way more than 12 points to win, but UNC is already precariously on the bubble. A home loss to VTech would probably seal them missing the NCAAs.

Purdue is getting savaged in Evanston right now. I think their perimeter defense is just terrible. After allowing Indiana to hit 12 threes on Wednesday, they've allowed Northwestern to go 8-12 from three in the first half. PU will make a run to open the 2nd, but will it be enough? So far Hearn is 9/10 from the floor and already has 21 points, PU hasn't been able to slow him down.

The growing feeling is that he is phoning it in this season, and that really just doesn't fly.

Elijah Johnson has decided to take on Tyshawn Taylor's mantle, complete with clutch choking. We're all so proud. Having said that, I've thought for a while that Okie State was one of the better, maybe even third best team in the Big XII. It's a shame that it happened at home, but hopefully this focuses us. And yeah, the Cowboys are going to be doing stuff come tourney time. Wouldn't surprise me if they won the conference tourney either, since KU tends to tune out for those.

Nebraska has a very fat big man that just shuffles around and runs into people. It's quite impressive, I assume he is converted football OL. They ran a highlight reel on him this game and it consisted of him just shuffling into the path of the offensive players and mauling them. He isn't called for fouls much, the officials must feel that it's natural for him to run into things.
