Im gonna second this. (nope because lol EGR)

My serious choice is either Harvick or Gordon. Maybe Jr, I'll just have to see how his season starts. Seems like he'll be like Gordon with the gen 6 helping him.

Also some of my predictions for the year is Ambrose winning on a oval and RPM actually getting pretty decent.

Bobby Labonte is also going to win the Daytona 500. If the gen 6 might help Gordon. What's to say It won't help him?

I'd love to choose Harvick, but he's in a lame duck season with RCR. Can't see that happening.

Pre-COT Gordon is a different man from Gen6 Gordon, he is a Serious Dad now and that, coupled with a bad back has sapped everything competitive in him. This season will only be his further slide into Martin-Burton territory of just happy to be out there running laps and catchin' naps.

Gordon, with his diminished everything, is going to spend his last seasons taking killer equipment on safe, technically sound laps.

Kevin Harvick's #1 Fan!

I'm gonna say Edwards, Kyle Busch or comedy answer of "Mark Martin wins two races, finishes the regular season 20th in points, makes the Chase via wildcard despite running a partial schedule and wins the championship causing NASCAR to change the rules for 2014"

Carl's usually good for a season and then terrible and last season was pretty bad for him so this one should be pretty good. I think he's another one the new car will suit. Plus with all the manufacturers having different bodies, Roush will be lobbying like crazy for every little advantage because he's Roush.

JPM doesn't stand a chance because EGR is terrible and I think Juan stopped giving a poo poo a while ago. Ganassi's not gonna fire him, the team's not gonna contend for a title and he's still gonna bring home a decent check for finishing 20th each week. Why stress out when he can just go back to Miami on Monday and play with his R/C planes?

Umm... totally wrong on every level possible. Being a dad is giving him a purpose to go out and win to show his kids what he has done in this sport. His back has been healed since 2010 and has been better than ever and not affecting him in the slightest according to him. And as for diminished competitively, where was he running for the most part of this season? Right around where Clint Bowyer has has been, and where did he finish in points, 2nd. If it wasn't for bad luck, Gordon would've been pretty close to championship contention not to mention probably getting 2 or so victories from that. The fall Richmond race showed that he has it, that was a 1998-esque, my car is not good but we'll do a thing and win it and give him a lap or two he would've had Clint.

To be honest I think current Gordon is more driven and better and more driven to win than mid 2000s Gordon.

Oh my gosh this. This would own so hard. I know this thread is a hotbed of Martin hate, but watching Brian France's beautiful playoff end in such a poo poo show would be awesome.

Non comedy answer: Smoke or Harvick.

So hey, I'm gonna start the Bingo thread for this year in about a week or so, but I've got a few questions for y'all first:

1. Did everyone who won last year get their prizes? I wasn't in direct control of any of them, and I only received confirmation from two of the six winners:

BMB5150 from LASTCAR: Received!
Moody from HarryJ: Vacated!
Outlaw Mailman from LASTCAR: Received!
briktal from LASTCAR: Received!
JingleBells from anotherblownsave: Sort of received!
Cygni from devmd01: Have not heard.

If I could get a word from the prize-givers or winners on the status of these, that would be just swell. I want some accountability here!

2. I am going to be incapacitated for the Spring 'Dega race and very likely for the Summer Daytona race, and thus will be unable to keep score for Bingo those two weeks. If there's anyone who's willing to take over scorekeeping during the race (I can handle all the card-making and final scoring), let me know either here or via PM so we can have that settled. (Note: I might just hold off on this part until we're closer to those races.)

That second note brings me to an unrelated thing that I wanted to mention at some point. I'm pretty determined to make the Indycar race at Pocono this July, and as it turns out the Daytona night race is the night before it. As I know a few goons also wanted to try to make the Pocono race, I thought we could make a ragtag goonmeet out of it and hit up a sports bar or something for Daytona the night before. I feel like this should be it's own thread when it gets closer, but I figured I'd plant the idea in your heads now to see if anyone would be interested in making it happen.

Okay, back to actual discussion.

The problem with RCR is they hired a new Director of Competition, and he is completely rebuilding the organization. Its a 2 year project to really start seeing a massive improvement. So that basically leaves it to the 29 team to their own devices. The new car and a lame duck situation makes it a risky pick.

On the other hand I took him as a dark horse for two reasons, the 29 team is well built and can run with the big kids. With the chase, all you have to do is get in, and the 29 has proven it can do that. Harvick also has some witchcraft that allows him to run great after big things happen. Its not a far fetched choice.

I still think its Gordon or Smoke. But Harvick and Earnhardt have some interesting factors that could make them great dark horse picks.

All the card-counting is done by the program Melloran wrote before last season, if I were still hand counting Bingo I would've stopped ages ago. All I need for these races I'm missing is someone to keep tracks of who wrecked and make the calls as to the final number list.

I love watching that movie..because as loving cheesey as it is..it's takes me back to when I loved racing as a kid.

You got an Earnhardt-clone, a Wallace-Clone and a Tim Richmond/Gordon-clone within the movie. You got Bob Jenkins calling the action, and you got some badass paint schemes and cars to go along with it.

I recall that one summer they kept showing it like 50 times on HBO, and for some reason (I guess to shut me up) my mom would put it on and I'd watch it.

I didn't care about Nichole Kidman, I didn't care about Tom Cruise..I wanted to watch more NASCAR damnit .

Also, I'm thankful that Kyle Busch took up "Rowdy" as a nickname, it fits him like a glove.
