Hello Everyone I am having a bit of trouble with my Samsung Galaxy S3 on T Mobile and I am wondering if I could get some advice/help. I had connected it to Kies through my PC the other day and it said there was a new version of the firmware. I left it to update and when I came back the computer had stopped, Kies said the update failed and would need an emergency recovery and the screen of the phone had the android robot and some small text in the top left of the screen. Kies was frozen so I turned off the phone and turned it back on. The phone seemed ok (not bricked) ; all my apps were still there, text messages, contacts, service worked as far as calling, emailing, texting, etc. I tried to do the emergency recovery through Kies but just could not get it to work. It gave me the emergency code and all that but now Kies will not recognize my phone and I can't transfer files to and from via USB to my computer. I reinstalled Kies and can no longer get the code, or even get Kies to recognize the phone at all. My computer also sometimes has trouble getting drivers or recognizing the phone and when it does, files cannot be transferred at all. When I try to update the software through the phone itself it tells me something like "there are others in the queue before you, try again later". I am not sure what my best option is here. Should I try to root it? Is there another place to update or download firmware? I am able to connect to my computer via Kies air to get photos, files etc so that may be an option. Just kind of stuck and want to get everything working in good order. Thanks alot for any help.
