Think about it. The only way James Randi could possibly stand against such giants as Uri Geller and Sylvia Browne is that HE IS BETTER AT MAGIC THAN THEM! When defeating Peter Popoff he went against the power of God Himself, and seemed to triumph. Now who else has ever done that? Hmm? It is sad that such a gifted occultist has decided to use his powers for evil, but even sadder is that he is a liar. Now ask yourselves, why would a wizard dedicate his life to purging all other wizards, ghosts and aliens from the face of the planet? Is he after world domination, or could it just be that SOMEONE gave him... ...A million dollars?

I don't want to dismiss your theory out of hand, but are you sure he's evil? You see, James Randi is a gay man--I'm not saying he's not a wizard, of course, but all the gay wizards I know of are pretty chill FWIW.

This is fairly close to my theory, only it is more probable that, in addition to being a wizard, he is some kind of lich who lures in lesser magicians with the Paranormal Challenge in order to steal their magic essencee. It explains how so many good and honest folk end up on his stage only to fall-flat by deception, as well as why he looks so good despite being a really old man. Inevitably, JREF will have to announce his death in about 10-20 years from now, but the funeral will just be another one of Randi's sleight of hand tricks, a distraction to bide them time so that they can find a younger vessel to infuse his soul with and allow the reign of skepticism to transition into the new age. I think there will have to be some kind of effort to stop him before its too late, but so far the only simulation model I can find for planning is DnD. 3.5 edition...

I think Obi-Wan Kenobi or somebody said that. I'm not sure if he is gay, but I've never seen him with a girlfriend and the Force is also indistinguishable from magic, so he might be okay. From that follows the logical conclusion that any sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from technology. I believe this is indeed how Mr Randi maintains his facade of rational non-wizardlyness, so well spotted. His million dollar challenge includes aliens also. Now I hear he might be absorbing the abilities of the very best cosmologist. This can only point to one thing: he is preparing to expand his operations to outer space. Once he has transcended gravity this will be a snap. Where will it end? Will the far future hold one very skeptical hive-mind for the whole universe? Who knows. But one thing we do know is that that mind will still be that of a very nice gay wizard, so that's okay then.
