There are a few things in this edition of the game that haven't been seen in either Cknoor's or Yapo's previous LPs. I am however, getting ahead of myself. How do I Bloodbowl and what the heck is going on? I've made a brief video to explain some of the basics to those unfamiliar with the game of Bloodbowl. There are many other rules and strategies involved in playing the game well but those are going to be touched upon in the course of the real LP. If you are interested in learning more about how the game is played and you are spergy as hell the actual rulebook is here. How exactly is this LP thing going to play out? This is a democracy. For starters the thread is going to be selecting the team I play (see below) and then, upon level ups, deciding the skills I'm going to get. This will lead to a hilarious horrible team with 2 agility leaping big guys which should hopefully make for an entertaining LP. The match schedule is exactly like what Cknoor did, for those familiar with that. People are going to get in touch with me and challenge my team and each week I'll pick an opponent to play against. I'll record and edit that match then do some commentary over it with my good friend Flare Knight. The videos will be posted in halves to make it easier to watch and the LP will go on until either I have nothing to say or everybody on my team is dead. Whichever comes first. I want to play! Easiest way to get in touch with me and let me know you want to play is to post in the thread with your team info (race and Team Value are the most important things to know) and some way for me to get in touch with you. Steam, skype, IRC, e-mail, I don't care how just something you'll respond to so we could schedule a time. I'm going to be looking to play against each race of team at least once (gently caress dwarves) throughout the LP, so if you play an ogre team you're going to be more likely to play.  I have a confession to make. This is an elf LP. We've had 2 bashy teams LP'd in video so far, it's time for something elfy to have a turn. The Team Vote We're voting on a team, but not on all the teams in the game. We're voting on a team from a list of teams I pulled out of my ear last night. The following is the list of teams with a brief blurb about each. Professional Elves Squishy. Good at passing into and out of tacklezones. Bullshit blitzers. Dark Elves Less squishy. 'The bashy elves'. Excellent running game. Witch elves for frenzy surfing. High Elves Less squishy. Big hats. Strongest passing game in bloodbowl. Big hats. Wood Elves Squishy. Most bullshit elves. Wardancers are the best elfy unit in the game. Trees. Skaven Squishy. Gunners are the second best elfy unit in the game. Mutation access on doubles leads to claw MB blitzers. Rat Ogre. Necromantic Not Squishy at all. Not actually elves either. In fact this makes no sense to have on the list at all. Werewolves are awesome. There you have it. Those are the teams. Pick one of those six and bold your votes to make it easier on me. My own opinion is that either skaven or necromantic would make the best LP team. Both of them are very capable of murdering the hell out of people with claw mighty blow blitzers and have fast capable ball handlers. Necromantic aren't quite elves but they are not really a bashing team either. If you mixed elves with the ability to kill people and also zombies you'd get necromantic. Skaven and necromantic are among my favorite teams in bloodbowl.

Necromantic sounds like a good idea. None of the LPs have covered the undead flavored teams and necromantic has a good mix of bashy and elfy play. Plus with ghouls you can guarantee the team will always have fresh blood! I'd vote for wood elves but they are so drat fragile that if you had some really unlucky games early on the team would be permanently crippled, and that's no fun.

I vote for Dark Elves due to more player longevity than the other elves, variety in skills and positionals (assassin, witch elf, runner), etc. Basically Dark Elves are a good enough team that you can take funhaver skill picks and player choices and still win, and I'm not so sure democracy will work out with the other elves (especially Pros and Woodies). Second choice is Necromantic because werewolves are just that awesome, and getting zombies from other goons should make for some solid entertainment. God I'd almost go for the apothecary over the RRs though so when someone kills a Witch Elf in game one you can save them. But yeah stabbing the gently caress out of people with Assassins is the best and Assassins are the best. Especially since they, as with all Dark Elves, are also good at elfy things.
