League number is MLB104506 ![]() Draft threads: 1946 1947 Gameday threads: 1946 1947 Spreadsheets: 1946 1947 Ivan's draft spreadsheet toadee's magic available players script toadee's year by year player list Black players were allowed to play without any race riots so welcome to 1948! In 1947 it was all Shibe all the time as both Philadelphia teams made the World Series. ZJ's powerhouse led the league in wins for nearly the entire season and dispatched uublog's NL Phillies easily in the World Series. The NL West was a bloodbath as PMP, kensei, and Devo (that's me!) all ended up with 100 wins or more. However PMP is a shameful division leader and did all that work to pass me only to fall short of the Series. Over in the AL East MBU went from worst to first before getting taken out by ZJ's monster. Will anyone do that in 1948? Stay tuned! What is this thing? This is season three of a progressive league that started with the 1946 season. For those of you that aren't math majors that means we're now playing with 1948 stats in the What If Sports engine. If you don't know what that is there's more information in threads here and here. What's a progressive league? A 1946 progressive means we're drafting our franchise using only players that were eligible in 1946. As we finish each season our players will progress to the next season in their career and we will fill holes with new rookies. So your 1946 Ted Williams will be '47 Williams in season 2, '48 Williams in season 3, etc. Who is eligible to join? Anyone! And we are looking to fill one spot! But keep in mind that progressive leagues have a little higher difficulty curve than an open league or AV's goon league. If that doesn't scare you off and you don't mind taking over a rebuilding team (albeit one with a very high draft pick) then please post and sign up! The Rules! DH: What do you think this is, 1973? I'll try to whip up a quick 1948 spreadsheet template in case anyone else actually uses it. I haven't paid attention to future-pick trades though so someone else can clean that mess up.
