Stodgy Canadians are up in proverbial arms about a fresh new image for their beloved, freckle-faced scamp "Anne of Green Gables". They apparently take umbrage with her being portrayed as a lovely, buxom young blonde lass. I happen to prefer gingers, myself, but I still think it was a bold, intelligent marketing decision.  Similarly, boring girly literature enthusiasts are outraged by the updated cover for a 50th anniversary release of some book called "The Bell Jar".  In this case I am baffled as to what the issue might be. It is a story about a woman isn't it? I'm tired of writing, because it is boring, but here are a couple more that have stirred up a bit of controversy for some reason:   Any more you've seen? Any you know of that could stand to be tarted up a bit? Go for it.
