Not as much knife skill as you'd think. You just need a very sharp knife and to only slice it in one direction. If you saw the fish it kind of falls apart...No Bueno. Also wiping your knife clean after each cut helps.

Last night I had the idea to suspend some parsley between two layers of spring roll skins and fry it to make some pretentious garnish thing.

So I put it on top of some seared steelhead with a savory black pepper garlic crème anglaise sauce. I ate it in two minutes with my fingers because I am a man child.

I guess in my mind people already know how to boil shrimp. So I focused more on the curry :shrug: Also I don't know what I was thinking using only ONE shrimp. I would feel kind of ripped off if I got that at a restaurant....

Sure thing. Kind of my recipe I guess. Basically take 20 habaneros seeded, two very ripe mangos, 2 large carrots,about 8 cloves of garlic, and an eyeballed am mount of rice wine vinegar. Simmer for like 20 minutes and blend it smooth. Add salt and sugar to taste.

Well considering all off the spices they still taste remarkably like hard boiled eggs. There is a hint of the soy sauce and cinnamon though. They definitely benefit from sitting in the fridge overnight in the uh...broth?
