Hey guys, I've been recording some of my own songs for a while now and have managed to gather up a few at my youtube channel. There is no video though, just audio for now.
These are all done in Solo acoustic guitar fingerstyle, no singing or anything, just instrumental stuff. It's a fun challenge to try and write this stuff.

These are recorded acoustically (no built in mic in the guitar) with a Furch Durango guitar, an old microphone of unknown origins. I recently borrowed a Line 6 Toneport to help these recordings, so the latest two recordings are of a better quality then the other ones.

Please check them out and I hope you'll find something you like (there are one or two covers as well).

I listened to 4-5 of these. You're definitely talented, and have some great chops and songwriting instincts. I like a lot of the chord sounds and changes you used. Do you play mostly in standard tuning? I did find it hard, however, to find anything to latch onto in the music. A lot of it seemed a bit airy and weightless to me. I like it when acoustic music can grab you and force you to pay attention. Some of my favorite guitarists (John Fahey, Peter Lang, Jack Rose etc) take the moodiness/atmosphere you're good at and combine it with real searing and simple melodies that stick with you. That said, though, I don't know if that's what you're going for! You seem to know what you want to play and you're pretty good at it. Might not just be my cup of tea exactly.

Thanks a lot for the comment man!

That's actually quite insightful, and something I haven't thought really solidly about. I've always been a fan of music that is mostly about atmosphere (I've listened to a lot of ambient music) and now that you point it out, I think when I "attack" a song, I almost always handle the atmosphere/mood part of it with the most priority I think. The latest upload (My Peace) is almost entirely about that for example.

But I also know that I need to get better at working out melodies, even though I don't think that'll ever be my "main focus" so to speak. That part of it is definitely really challenging to me and is something I hope I will get better at the more I play in this style.

Thanks again, that was a really good comment!

EDIT: Forgot to add, most of the songs are in standard tuning though some of them are capoed (some at second fret, some at fifth fret). There is one that uses Drop d tuning and one that uses Open G tuning.

Thanks, I'm glad it was constructive. To further my point, here's a good example of what I'm talking about. This video is a bit long (but it's amazing, so watch it!) Listen to how atmospheric and haunting it all is, and how much he's paying attention to textures. But, also notice the themes and melodies that develop throughout, and how they center the piece. Granted, Fahey is a complete genius, but it's something to strive for, in any case (I also play solo acoustic guitar, and I strive to approach anything resembling him):

Thanks, gonna have to check out more of his stuff. He's an excellent player for sure. I don't think it's completely to my tastes but it's always great to expand your "palette" as it were when it comes to music and all that.
