  We are back! (sort of) Our standalone version of Gtubes is entering OPEN BETA. It is not feature complete by any means, and there will probably be bugs, but you can come in and watch videos with other goons again.The new URL is: http://www.goontu.be Notable changes: -Spergbot has reached the singularity and is now built into gtube. For mods, this means $ commands still work, but Spergbot is no longer a chat entity. -There are only very basic commands available right now. -Webcams are functional! -There's no search function built in yet, so you gotta paste in youtube urls your own drat self. Your friendly neighbourhood moderators are: saganlives, Gedt, SilverSliver. The super awesome Rednames are: DoctorDoctor, Akito12345, WoodrowSkilson, TartanTarget, AnemoneZ, Doffen, IMightBeAdam, Fluffs, HunterCadre, NomChompsky.  The Coding God you will worship is jskz/Afaak. I just joined the room but everyone is calling me a gray... When you first join the room you won't have a name. The chat window asks for one, but forget that noise. Instead scroll to the top of the page and in the upper right theres a register button. Do that, it doesn't take you away from the page and they don't verify emails. Until you register chances are no one is gonna care what you have to say and will actively make fun of you. I don't understand what's happening! Gtube has been around for over a year now, and a lot of culture has formed over the months. If you don't understand something, ask in chat. Chances are a redname will answer your question, or perhaps just someone who has been around for awhile. It is not recommended that you do this before registering. In general we're probably either watching random videos from youtube or any number of movies you can find on the ol YT. Occasionally we'll have theme days (like Dinosaur Day) which I will post here so there is advance notice. Rednames are: The aforementioned group of goons in the OP above this post. Their names are/will be in red. These are the people that will be skipping inappropriate videos, kicking people for being dicks, and banning people that just can't get it through their heads to play nice or gently caress off. Hybridmods are: Tubers with permissions given from the Bot that runs the room The Hybridmods are: Burntp0rk, ICU, Griffia, IdioDance, AssHaggis, Stockholm, Teenwitch, SnoopRadley. These are trusted users that have the skip video function. If there are no rednames/mods in the room they are free to use their discretion to skip the video currently playing. SpergBot is a Bot and has now been implemented into having control of the room. When no videos are added it keeps the list going. It actually adds vids on it's own if nobody else does! Early morinin' tubing pre-caffienated a go-go! Anybody using the $addrandom command when the vid list is 10 or less brings up 5 random vids and $delete deletes the last vid YOU added Fun tricks: - Add videos by clicking the words 'add video' and pasting the url of your video into the space provided. - If you click the words 'enable webcams' guess what happens? BAM! You can see all our fugly faces if we're on. - Slow/skippy/funny wavering at the edges of the video/cam's don't work? Chrome is king in Synchtube. Get Chrome. But I have Chrome and it's still doing funny things! Go to your plugins (type about :plugin into your blank tab and hit enter). Chances are high that you will see two flash players. Disable the one that ends in 'pprflashplayer.dll'. Ta-daaa! Need to get a hold of a Redname? Serious problem happening? Got a question to ask? poo poo going down that isn't being addressed? Reposted from the last thread since it got closed right after I posted it (Sagan  )I don't quite get Gtubes' obsession with Darkon. I mean, yeah the blackface is hilariously awful but it's not a big enough trainwreck of despair for me. I mean I enjoyed watching it once, but don't really care about seeing it again. Bronson, on the other hand, just showed up on my Netflix Recommended list so why not watch that for the 20th time? I also don't get Gtubes obsession with Hackers, and I think I was the first mod to ever play that movie. I know I was there anyway, because it was the same morning we watched Pathology, which is still the best thing that ever happened in gtubes, ever.
