Hello again, race fans and non-fans alike. The 2013 NASCAR season is upon us and that means we get to cheer for blood as we tally up who wrecks. This is NASCAR Bingo.

Wait, what?
NASCAR Bingo is a four-times-a-year SAS exclusive game. When the series hits Daytona and Talladega two times each, we break out the Bingo cards and mark off the numbers of the drivers who wreck. It's pretty simple! You cause a caution, you get marked off. There's always judgement calls of course, but I'll be refereeing (poorly) the numbers that get marked. A driver has to be part of the caution to get marked, start-and-parkers who hit the garage without causing a caution are the bane of the game. It's all luck of the draw really.

Fellow goon Melloran made a fantastic randomizer program last year that lets me produce the cards with little to no effort, so please give him a round of applause for saving me from the dark ages of hand-drawing each card.

What’s in it for me?
True to NASCAR's capitalist ways, NASCAR Bingo is sponsored for each event by your fellow goons, who offer up prizes for the winners. If you score the most Bingos for an event (ties broken by number of total marks), you win that sweet sweet prize. At the end of the year, I drop a final prize on the champion, the player who's gotten the most Bingos over the course of the season.

Last year, Cygni picked up the grand prize on the season, which he still hasn’t posted a photo of but I’m sure he will once he sees this! Because it was a pretty slick prize. You can find last year’s results by clicking here.

if you would like to donate a prize for Bingo, hit me up via PM or e-mail (saboyland at gmail dot com) and let me know. We currently have no prizes for 2013, so if you have a thing, let me know ASAP!

How do I sign up?
When each event draws near, I’ll make a post in this thread announcing open sign-ups. All you have to do is post saying something in the vein of “sign me up” and I’ll add you to the list. Please note that you have to sign up for each event individually, and will only be championship eligible if you run all four events.

Some important notices! Please read these!

Re-iterating these points from last year:
- You have to sign up for each event individually. Signing up for the first race does no automatically enter you in the rest! So keep a careful eye on the thread so you can be eligible for the champeenship.
- You are only eligible for the championship if you enter all four races. So don't miss any of em!
- You do not have to be able to watch the race to enter! Every time a plate race comes around, we get someone saying that they want to enter but they have work so they can't. You can! All the cards are calculated by me after the race, so you don't have to watch live to win.
- If you win, it would be cool if you could post a picture of your prize when you receive it. Just so the sponsors know their money did not go to waste.
- NASCAR Bingo owns a lot and it would be awesome to see more people play. Seriously. Let's get some non-NASCAR-thread goons up in here. We (or at least I) love to see newbies jump into the NASCAR thread to start watching, it's really the best. So if you stumbled into this thread and don't know jack about NASCAR, stick around! Sign up! It's fun poo poo.
