uh...if anyone needs me I'll be peeing in the backyard

I was actually surprised to find out that "sports" like rowing and equestrian were even in the Olympics. I was in Korea last year, and the main stuff they showed on TV was fencing, judo, archery, sharpshooting, and soccer. I have to wonder- when they claim that wrestling gets very poor ratings, how much of this was because people don't like wrestling, and how much of it was NBC assuming that people would rather watch Michael Phelps?

Well the biggest problem from an American standpoint is NBC and their insistence on building storylines and compelling people as opposed to covering the Olympics for breadth.

Even when NBC, msnbc, and USA all run sports they're often running tape delayed things and only focusing on USA athletes. Which makes sense for some stuff as I am an American and I like American athletes but when they're not covering Usain Bolt live poo poo has gone too far.
