It is snowing in Phoenix. Today is the day we are scheduled to have "MOTORCYCLES AT THE CAPITOL DAY" where motorcyclists (patchholders and independent bikers) are gathering to support the passing of a bill that prohibits law enforcement from harassing and profiling of bikers as gang members (Brought to you by MCANG: Motorcycle Clubs are Not Gangs). It's a tad slippery on two wheels However, mother nature decided that we would get our once a decade dose of snow. There used to be an African-American weatherman on a nationwide morning news show who would have these lame little figurines of himself golfing, carrying an umbrella, or building a snowman on the map of the US according to the weather conditions in the area he was discussing. Since this is a rare event here, I thought this would be fun to share. Not to be Al Rokeresque, but How's the weather up "in your neck of the woods?"

In the OP's defense he was probably unaware that a Weatherpocalypse thread exists (and has existed for years) because there has never been any reason to talk about the "weather" in Phoenix up to this point. In counterpoint SirPablo will take issue with that statement since he used to work in the National Weather Service office in Phoenix and had plenty to deal with there.

The weather's loving cold here (-9C) and it snowed a little bit last night. I need the weather to hold out and be decent enough both here in Calgary and in Toronto that I can get away from this frozen hellhole on Sunday night. Definitely looking forward to highs north of 30 and lots of sun in Havana.

It's like 40 degrees or so here in Chattanooga. It was in the upper 60s a couple days ago. The weather here has been a roller coaster, one week getting unseasonably warm then dropping down to normal temps then rising back up. It's really weird.

I'm just east of Tucson and we're getting an abnormally high amount of snow right now as well. It's been an unusually wet and snowy winter this year, hopefully that means a good monsoon season this summer.

North Dakota has had below-average snow fall this year. However, it's still been pretty cold. About -15 to -20 with windchill here on average. Still, a pretty easy winter overall. Sometimes, this stuff makes me miss weather in Wisconsin where I grew up. The snow was thick and heavy, but the windchill wasn't always as bad (or open terrain for wind speed). Oh well. That's the price you pay to not have to deal with goofy spider species and other unwanted vermin (except the homeless, amirite? kidding...).
