Dude I'm here in Tucson and it snowed today, neat, but I'm pretty sick of all the annoying "SNOW!!!!!" Facebook statuses. And now you had to ruin SA too. Shame on you.

as a son of Chicago and having lived in Buffalo NY for the past 16 years, I can only laugh.

I used to live about two hours north of Phoenix, where snow was a regular thing. Now I live in Germany, and can't help but laugh about two inches of snow that melted a couple hours later being a newsworthy occurrence. And then I'm bothered by the fact that the news sites are running lovely phone pics instead of something that actually could capture the beauty of such a rare sight.

If I hear one more person say "graupel" on the news or radio today I'm going to puke.

I walked outside this morning and there was a lot of water running off my roof, started to be concerned that a pipe had burst or something. Then I realized it was the snow/ice melting. Definitely weird feeling...I've been in AZ for 14 years now, but grew up in MI.

We've had one tiny snowstorm, some ice, and some flurries that melted as soon as the flakes hit the ground. Tonight's forecast: more false hope of snow. Ah, NC. I remember when you used to have actual winters.

Brotax posted:Snow in Tucson? Fuuuuuuck, I was just talking to a friend of mine about how I wanted to move there eventually because I'm so tired of dealing with Old Man Winter. I've lived in the Midwest my whole life and after 24+ years I have decided that I'm only cool with winter between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day. It snows about once every 5 years or so in Tucson. The last notable snowfall was Jan 2007. The foothills and mountains tend to get snow every year, so just live in the city and you won't have to deal with it often.

Here's a hint- if you're done with UA, and you're still in Tucson, time to get the gently caress out.
