  So I have been a fan of these guys for quite a while. The lead singer started in a punk band and moved to making this music. It might be an acquired taste but I figured I would share it anyways. The punk roots really show through in much of the music. The guitar is mostly acoustic, the bass is also an acoustic, upright base. The drums are pretty minimal and on a lot of songs the drummer doesn't even use a full set. Its mostly snare. They also have some harmonica and organ. Their lyrical content is really what makes the band.
