In a similar vein, I've noticed a lot of 2-3 year old Fords with burned out taillight bulbs, whereas my Daihatsus tend to be on their original bulbs, and I re-used bulbs in a 1931 Cadillac that were probably original bulbs, at least pre 1945 since they were GE Mazdas.
