Butler has been absolutely god awful since Clarke's injury. I can't even watch them anymore. They'll be lucky to make the NCAAT this year and if they do, they're getting bounced in the first round.

Alabama might have a real shot to win on the road at Florida today, which would be an ENORMOUS win for a team looking to somehow make a push for an at-large berth to the NCAAs. Which makes me really nervous about Iowa coming in to Bloomington tonight, as Iowa is a better team than Alabama and will be in a similarly desperate situation. With Gesell out, I hope Indiana focuses on getting to the foul line and pressing Iowa's depth.

Bill Self is the best drat coach. It's gonna be 9 straight Big 12 Titles for KU. He doesn't even seem to get that great of recruits, but he turns guys into first round picks. I guess maybe he is consciously trying to get players who will stick around for 3-4 years, but it's still pretty amazing. Also recruited that entire 2005 Illinois team.
