WayForward games just launched a Kickstarter for the third game in their Shantae series. I don't know why such a hugely prolific and successful studio would have to turn to crowdfunding for an established franchise...oh wait, free money. Right.

It's also kind of funny how they whitewashed Shantae compared to the older games.

I have gained a lot of friends and followers on social networking sites such as YouTube and Face Book, and some that I game with on The Dark Souls forms and Twisted Metal forms who are ready to support this project because they believe in me and what I am creating. I had one project rejected but that didn’t stop me because if I have to make twenty more I shall do so until Its funded because I have people who trust and believe in this project and I refuse to let them down. There will be things this project will face but we have a vision and we know what we have to do to overcome it and we will continue to be open to constructive criticism and looking to bring people together and invest in great material.
We understand this is something that has never been done but in 1492 Christopher Columbus went out into the sea and everybody told him he was going to fall off the end of the world but with his risk and passion we now know the earth is round and without his will and guts we would not be where we are today. The point i am trying to make nothing is risk free 16 years ago there was no internet but one man changed that. HEDY LAMARR was a actresses in the 1930's she came up with guided torpedoes for world war 2 she called and called the US army, government but no one listened because she was beauty and she was a actresses. My point is no one can understand vision if it was the 1930's are 1492 would kickstarter be a place to support like Hedy Lamarr and Christopher Columbus.
P.S We want to give a big thanks to the creative minds at Kickstarter for making visions like this possible and I wish you all much more success. I believe that every great idea starts with one person but it takes others to believe in it to make it come true. I hope you all can see and believe what we are trying to accomplish.
