Back to another holiday episode! This time, it's Thankgiving, which is a first for the show. Also, Paleyfest happened, and we learned a bunch of spoilers, including: There will be an episode prominently featuring puppets. More paintball. Not quite sure on the extent of it, but I hope it's not a full episode. Adam DeVine (Workaholics) will show up at some point as Jeff's younger brother. Jim Rash is writing an episode that will be an homage to Freaky Friday. ... those spoilers makes this sound so awful and generic Hopefully, like the convention episode, the product will end up better than its description.

Then again, one reason I'm not panicking is that NBC doesn't know how to market this show and clearly does not understand it, so I'll still tune in and not expect something awful. At least, hope it isn't edit: As I said, the convention episode was just fine and I really loved Halloween, so far community is batting .5 so it's really not so gloomy to me. Do we need to spoiler the muppet episode? They posted it really prominently on their Facebook page.

On the other hand, especially now that Chang is also out of the picture and therefore not annoying, the Dean has been the weakest link this season, and has started to become a drag on the show a lot more than anything else. If there is a fifth season I hope budget cuts force them to fire the dean and chang

This is apropos of nothing, but I've been re-watching Community for the first time since the episodes aired and all of the crazy Harmon drama and internet arguing has almost made me forget how incredible this television show is.

Ok that part gave me hope: The puppets — which were previewed at the panel — are designed and operated by Scott Johnson and Drew Massey, who gave similar treatment to David Boreanaz in an episode of Angel. I was thinking that this was the only show I could think off that ever pulled off that gimmick successfully, so I'm very glad that some of the same people are involved.

I went to Paleyfest for the the third year in a row, and it didn't disappoint. Instead of watching a new episode, they did table read of episode 401. Fred Willard was there to read Pierce's lines (and fake-Pierce), and even the actor who plays Leonard was there to read his 3 lines. Glover and Jeong were absent. It was a lot of fun seeing the cast goof around during the read, and comment about it. When the dancing scene came, the crowd yelled for Joel and Jim to actually do the dance. And they obliged The Q&A was constantly derailed by the cast joking around, particularly Alison Brie. She kept going into character as some weird child in the 1920s who smoked too many cigarettes. There was a great bit where Joel and Jim kept getting fake phone calls from Malcolm Macdowell. Anyway, it's supposed to be all online on Hulu Plus for anyone who wants to watch. There was also an awkward question from an audience member who wanted Alison and Danny to perform a Doctor Who scene she wrote. Afterwards I got my poster signed by some of the cast, and Joel chatted with my girlfriend about her job for a straight minute (she gave him a souvenir from where she works). It was really great. Paleyfest is always worth it.

Season 3 had a few really good episodes among a bunch of really mediocre ones, so if season 4 can pull a "Remedial Chaos Theory," it will be probably be redeemed for a lot of people. Or you can choose to believe that people only say season 4 isn't the same as season 2 because they miss Dan Harmon or something, which would be silly and the kind of thing that invites ad-hominem responses of "Oh I only hate it because Dan Harmon is gone? Well you only like it because you're a bandwagon fan who only got into the show once it became broad and popular!"

You really need to switch around Jeff's picture in OP. For newb's sake. Also imagine how much Jeff would hate you if you know you put that up there.

To be honest, I like that Jeff photo. It comes from one of the most heartwarming Jeff/Dean story arcs. First time I saw it I had to do a double take, then remembered the episode, and 'memories' Also if you can't handle negative opinions of the show, where were you during Season 2? I don't want anyone to fight about a television program. Remember the sweater, for the sweater is truth.
