Polar bears are horrific. They live in extremely tough conditions which probably explains why they will kill anything alive when their within reach, I heard this story of this Norwegian couple who recently got ambushed by one. One of them survived but had to watch the other one getting eaten over a day till rescue came. There was a video doing the rounds a while back of this woman going in a polar bear pen in the Berlin zoo to cuddle them or something equally dumb. As far as I remember she survived, but then I guess the bears had been fed.
