I have to applaud Mr. Parsons for yet another article that had me awkwardly laughing out loud in the school lounge, causing my coworkers to wonder what was so funny and how to explain it in a way that wouldn't be too bizarre. I also really love the mental image of Sean Connery wearing a Werner Herzog facemask.

Now, that being said...while I'd watch it, I think it lacks the visceral approach of Indiana Jones and the Vessel of Ra.

I don't know, this reboot captures a certain sense of maturity and depth that was seriously lacking in all those silly Indiana Jones adventure movies.

Finally, some much needed grit and brutal realism in Indiana Jones. After the silliness of Crystal Skull, the series needed to get back to its realistic, brutal roots.

Fuck you, got Midas

So is every single scene in the update an actual scene from Tomb Raider?

I love how this throws into contrast how goofy, uncomfortable and weird audiences would find a male hero vomiting and crying all the time.

I wouls like to know this, especially with the stupid comments about "protecting" Lara Croft that that one guy made.

They're all based on scenes from Tomb Raider, some more loosely than others.

I really enjoyed that. Saw every paragraph in my head, and I loved it.

Oh man, please tell me that's not how Tomb Raider ends, I'm about 3/4 of the way through that game.

If it is the ending I will be surprised because I have only played about halfway through the game.

I enjoyed the article. After playing the game, I read it again and enjoyed it more.
