The 24 Hz sound combined with a 24 fps camera gives you a strobe effect of only seeing the water at specific intervals. The pressure peak of the sound wave is always coming by just as the shutter snaps so you get an image of the water pushed out. The water then cycles back and forth in the next 1/24th of a second, again hitting a peak just as the shutter snaps. Thus the water appears to hold that shape because you only get a frame when it is in that particular shape. It's taking on a lot of other shapes in the time between frames, but you don't get them on the camera. You would see them with your eye, however, and they'd mash together into a general spray. It's an illusion of the photographic process.

I'd say it's the last thing. No matter which name you choose - you're still comparing your wife's performance in bed to a fairytale dwarf. I'd personally find it funny but there are many people who have wives/friends/family that wouldn't let them live this one down. The only way to win was not to play.
