This is such a nonsensical question. What is so great about watching 22 men run around a field chasing a ball? What is so great about watching nobles prance about on a horse? What is so etc. People like different things, there is no great mystery to it. Hope this helps.

People have been into brutality and violence and physical contact sports since, well, forever. It's really quite entertaining If you can't even understand it on some basic level then I'm not sure how to explain it to you [edit] Here's some content. Zzulu posted:People have been into brutality and violence and physical contact sports since, well, forever. It's really quite entertaining I understand that people have always enjoyed violence and stuff. It's not like I don't enjoy FPS games or action movies myself, I mean I posted a gif of video game people geting flung into the air by a rollercoaster after all... I don't know, I guess things like the MMA (which is what I meant by 'this stuff'; didn't know what it's called) just seem to be a level above most things in terms of brutality. I suppose ultimately different people have different limits in terms of what is enjoyable and what is just senseless. And I suppose my personal limit is relatively low, so I'll never quite 'get' that kind of thing. Or maybe it's a gender thing? Men seem to be the ones who enjoy watching or participating in that kind of thing most of the time. Not saying that's a bad thing, mind, just an observation and possible explanation of why I don't see the appeal. It's not really important to be honest, and I don't want to take this derail further. e: the least weasel posted:People like different things Is basically the best explanation. Here's a gif.

prefect posted:Is the whole engine shaking, or is it just this gif making it look like that? It's made from a series of photographs where the rotor is manually moved for each frame. The camera was not perfectly still while they were making this. Wankel engines are actually known for being very low vibration.

I think you missed the point of that gif. It's a glass doorframe with no glass in it - the dude steps through it to open it both times.

I'd like a source too. I started a thread in GBS to talk about bionics but sadly it petered out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qUPnnROxvY Video explaining the arm. This is pretty amazing. It seems aside from adjusting the grip the arm actually does work purely by reacting to his muscles.
