Welcome to Season 6 of the Something Awful PS3 Favorite Team Dynasty (FTD). Five Straight Seasons of the Pac-12 winning the National Championship**. Will one of us step up and end this poo poo? Not if Southern Miss can help it! Swinging Dicks: #1. Colorado – DrunkPanda went back-to-back in winning the National Championship*. Will he be the first person to threepeat? #2. Notre Dame – CoronaX for an Auburn win away from going to the National Championship Game last season. Will he get the job done this time around? #3. Virginia Tech – Jovial Cow is now a two-time ACC Champion and finished out the season with a win over his brother in a BCS Bowl. Will take strong finish and a high preseason #4. Oregon – Krypttx is probably never coming back and just troll Muc. #5. Utah – ChemicalWarfare came up dry again in the Pac-12 Championship Game, and decided to test the waters in the Big Ten. Will the Utes transform the Big Ten into the Pac-12 East? #6. Illinois – Da_Goob is the best in the world at not winning bowl games. Will he get this monkey off his back this year? #7. Auburn – Mucilaginous was the only one who could pull of a win over Notre Dame. Unfortunately, it wasn't the game that counted as he fell short in the SEC Championship Game. After winning three straight conference championships, he has come up empty the past two seasons. Will the Tigers take control of the SEC this season? #8. West Virginia – ExplodeYourself has lost the Big XII Championship three times now. However, in his time here, has won a Rose, Sugar, Fiesta, and Orange Bowl. Will he complete the set this year? #9. Michigan – Wendow nearly had Goob a few times there. I don't think the Wolverines have lost a non-conference game in a while now? Do the Wolverines have what it takes to fend off the Utes and the Illini and finally conquer the Big Ten #16. Connecticut – Mswen23 has dominated the Big XII since his arrival. Arguably, the Huskies took a step back last season, finishing with three losses. Is it time for the Huskies rebound and ascend into greatness. #20. Ohio State – yutayuta117 had a rough go of it last season. An overtime loss to UMass. Letting the game get away at West Virginia. A sim loss to Minnesota. A beat down from Michigan. Yet, you have to look at the glass half full. Yuta was maybe a few fourth quarter plays a few minutes without lag away from winning a few of those games. #56. UMass – Frinkahedron is the Magician of the Minutemen. Woe to ye britches, ye who enter Gillette Stadium, for ye britches shall be shat within. The Rules: - 6 Minute Quarters - All-American Difficulty ![]() - Home field advantage and Ice the kicker on - I won't wait on recruiting (unless I'm at work or some poo poo) ![]() - Don't be The Panda of the Week. Put in effort to setup times for your user games. If you are going out of town, let me know and put yourself on AP. NOTES: - I came up with a solution for Krypttx being gone. The Ducks will be playing Ohio State and UMass. They are the two most downtrodden teams who are most likely to really have to battle to win. - Season 6 is always interesting because all of your players are the guys you recruited. Okay, it isn't that interesting, but the guy who put the least effort into recruiting is at UMass now. ExplodeYourself fucked around with this message at Mar 19, 2013 around 02:23 |

Thats pretty considerate dog, thanks. I think Umass vs the Oregon juggernaut will be a good game. I'm back in 2 weeks basically anyhow. Fun fact about players I recruited, I shamelessly recruited the best player in season 1 because he was #1 and 6'5" despite him being a bust and hes only an 89 as a redshirt senior. He will actually be playing though as my 3rd or 4th WR. On the good side, everyone else is like 99 so have fun Yuta and Frink.

Knocked my game out last night. I've feeling good about this team. Chris Webb looked great in his first start going 21 of 24 for 337 yards, six touchdown, and one pick where the corner just made a play in the endzone. The defense terrorized Maryland's senior QB, lead by Michael Davis who came away with three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns. There are still adjustments to be made before we take on Pitt next week, but hopefully we won't have to make many more before Week 3. Down to Auburn, Michigan, and UMass already. Anyone care to make National Championship predictions? I know its only week one, but if ESPN can put USC in the title game every year at this time, we can make video game predictions.

Yuta hasn't lost a CPU team and Frink has adapted to the limitations of his team. It will be interesting either way. Frink had some really close games last year without playing anyone of my team's caliber. I've got a really good defense, with 99s in the secondary, D line and LB, and a really good offensive line so I think that will bode well for playing vs a user. My 94 QB is playing his first game though, so who knows. Also, while my user game schedule is comparatively easy, I'm playing Boise, Miami, Nebraska and Cal so I've got some pretty good strength elsewhere so thanks. UMass offense has improved to a C overall! NIU goes down to a last second field goal after a turnover crazy 4th quarter. Back to back to back interceptions to set up the last possession of the game. ESPN rates it an insta-#1 classic. Freshman running back Robby Walden makes an impressive debut with 126 yards and a TD on 23 attempts and freshman WRs Patrick Jones and Nate Patrick The defense sucks, nothing to see here. Advanced to Week 2! Goons in the Top 25: #1 Colorado #2 Notre Dame #3 Virginia Tech #4 Oregon #5 Utah #6 Illinois #7 Auburn #8 West Virginia #9 Michigan #16 Connecticut #20 Ohio State Heisman Watch: Ward (ND) Poole (UConn) Henley (ND) Burke (LSU) Merriman (Army) Marquee Game of the Week - #4 Oregon at UMass Frink's Minutemen have a chance at a program-defining win as they host AP Krypttx's Duck in this cross-country showdown. Frink won Coach of the Year last season, and will have to live up to that in this one as he facing one of the most talented team in the country. Senior QB George Hayden has a solid game last week in their opener against then #24 Northern Illinois, but will have to be deadly sharp against this talented Oregon secondary. This one will really test how good the AI is. Frink has lost CPU games before, but hasn't since his opener last season. Gillette Stadium will (hopefully) be jam packed for this one. Herbie picks Oregon, obviously. Let's see where we are Saturday afternoon or so.

Last season, my RB went down with an 11 week injury around week 4 or 5. He was leading the nation in rushing. This season, my RB goes down with an 8 week injury while leading the nation in rushing. I suppose the good thing is that its not a season ending injury this time around. I did manage to upload a highlight of Ben Chambers cracking out the flea flicker against Utah State. I so badly wanted it to be for a TD, but I got knocked out of bounds.
