My wife and I are heading off to Costa Rica in three weeks. We're both kind of hectic so we haven't planned much yet. We're very non-fancy travelers and don't need much in the way of luxury. Our main goal is to see some sea turtles, other than that, we're looking for tranquility, peace, beauty, all that jazz. We're both quite physically fit, too.

We don't have a ton of money, but we're not broke.

Anyone have any great tips about where to go, where to stay, what to do?

Just across the border in Nicaragua there's some crazy volcanoes you can go peek in - I'd never seen anything like it. I recommend going on an organized tour, though; Nicaragua had a bit of "grease the wheels at the border" type shenanigans (at least when we visited) that might be awkward by yourself (unless you're cool and ambitious - I'm not).
